I probably would still be chasing that Steve ghost if there hadn't been a finish line! That was a heck of a fun time, enjoyed it.

Yes sir.

I have always ran them the normal direction. Indont like the way they look mounted backwards, just a scale look-preference for me.

Speaking of tars.

I won some RC4WD 1.9 Genius tires at the Rocky Mountain Scale Nats last month.
Mounted them up on the slick, custom made DCW wheels and MTHead rings. SLW hubs with rusty 4-40 hardware and some scale hardware from TSS.
Played with a few CI foam setups and this seems to be a good starting point. Since the tire compound is so pliable, you can stuff the tires full and they still conform on the rocks. Dug around my foam bins.

4.0" Deuces Wild foams with 1.55 med outers. I may narrow the outers a a touch or cut the corners off to smooth the edges.

brilliant idea on the foams. I'd have never thought of that.
Are those wheels grey delrin centers?

Thanks. I have a ton of foams and just mix and match to get what I need.

The wheels were hand machined by Duuuuuuuude. The material is medical gray acteal. Only material we could find in the color I wanted.

They look great. I'll have to pay a visit to Duuuuuuuude's vender page.
Did you add any wheel weight?

I havent added weight to any of trucks since 2010. I try my best to setup the weight distribution, suspension geometry and shocks to not have to. Not a fan of adding rotational mass.

Duuuuuuuude has a DCW website too.

I have only been in this hobby a few years. I've never tried no weight. I always assumed it was necessary or at least couldn't hurt.
That's what I love about this forum. I learn something new everyday. Thanks

Yes sir, tons of good builders out there, each with their own ideas. Just something I do, to me, the wheel weight is a band aid for other things that could be tuned. Just me though, as I know others love weight in their wheels and can drive circles around me on the rocks.

Also, for this jeep, being a faster setup, wheel weights would not be ideal.

Thanks and it continues to impress. I almost sold it but decided not to after a spectacular King of Disney race back in May.

Thanks. Modeled after the Mars Offroad Jeepspeed rig.

Ran this jeep at the East Texas U4 track yesterday, just messing around. Got one picture.

Some carnage on the jeepspeed today. Found a rock hidden in some grass. Servo gears smoked, busted VP VVD shaft and bent VP knuckle arm. Rig needs a full tear down and rebuild anyways.

Jeepspeed delivers again.
21 minutes of sprinting on the day stage and 24 minutes of sprinting on the night stage. 2nd year in a row for this 1.9 event! #szczerbabuilt
