Had to de-tune it for the current owner and glad i did. Thought a bec burnt out on its last run but turns out it was a $200 servo, bec, AND tekin RX8.

Reminds me of why i quit car audio.
Here's tonight's progress.
Barrys custom servo plate built to my specs ( Awesome vendor to work with)
Aluminum scx10 chubs/ knucks/ cvds instead of the XR Dlux stuff
Stock axle gears
Metal transmission gears and HD motor plate.

Only things left to do are mount electronics, rebuild shocks, steering and drag link, and ship it home.

It's a shame this is illegal in 1.9 scale. It looks more realistic than 90% of the junk we run locally.

1.9s have been ran in class3 by quite a few people, some would even say they have an advantage.
Try it and see.

There's a new No djjiz rule in the 1.9 class locally. It says all vehicles must have a frame rail that runs the length of the wheelbase and a bumper that sticks out 3" farther tha front wheels. We don't do class 1-2-3. Used to be run what you brung by tire size and no comp or cut and shut tires.
One of those You Can't Fire Me Because I Quit situations.
It was suggested to run 2.2"s to stay legal in that class but it severely throws off the look so fawk it. I'm a drifter now.

First interior. It's crude but it'll work.
One screw between seats hold it in
Battery will be velcro'd to floor
Seats as well
Whole floor will slide out the passenger window
Rx and speedo will be stealth mounted under the hood.

Can't leave shit alone.
Gonna mount all electronics other than the battery onto the skid plate so it's easier for the new owner to work on. AE-5 is ridiculously hard to hide on this chassis and it might need the heat sink shaved. Time will tell.
Here's a loose layout.

Electronics are mounted.
Floor pan hides everything.
3s 2200mah under the hood
Speed control and BEC under the motor.
Gotta finish the steering
Make 2 hood panels
Make a dash
Mount seats
Paint what i can
And test drive the hell out of it.

Used a broken Hulksta mount for high steer double sheer knucks. Remembered it was broken after i cut one side off so currently digging through parts bins to find more.

Thanks. I build with one hand so it's difficult cutting lexan but with enough clamps, weights, and tape it's possible.

Can't take credit for the cage. It's originally built by CSC and tuner cloned it with the help of CSC and the owners. Wish more 1:1 owners were even half as helpful as these guys.

Cleaned up the rough cuts and shaped the carbon on the high steer but the more i see carbon the less i want it on here.

Any experience painting it?
Is it as simple as scuff, clean, and paint with enamel?

Paint seems to be sticking.
Almost done with this side of the buggy. Gonna turn the shock down and rebuild it while it's apart and i think that's it.

i once ruined the surrounds on THREE jlaudio 10's by using liquid flux on the terminals, which unknowingly to me at the time the stuff dripped down onto the cone and then down to the surround. couple days later when im putting my speakers in i notice they all had a gaping hole melted through the surrounds. i was so irked, but had nobody to blame but myself. they were 'just' w3's tho so not a huge loss. so then i get them redone, and the guy put a surround on them that had like half the travel of the original surrounds. meh..

really neat rig btw. big fan of the killer homebrew stuff. ;)

Thanks.

Ruined 8 12" round solobarics back in the day with silicone. The fumes rotted the surrounds and warranty wouldn't cover it.
Good times
