Yeap letting the minions start on it lol.

Cab is on the printer now, fits well being C2 I could narrow it and such.

Trying to decide how I want to do the bed

We have a test cab. Printed all in one single piece. I forgot to do a support interface test on this filament first so have another hour or so just getting the supports off, then a lot of dremel time in those spots. Thankfully none of it is on the outer face where it matters.

Just happy I can print this big. JUST BARELY LOL.

This cab will simply be fitment and torture testing using tough pla instead of petg. Make any adjustments I want in CAD ( plus bring extrusion back to where it needs to be) and reprint for final cab.

Finally had time to get back at this. Last time I touched a rig was when we went camping a month ago. Put my knightrunner through some serious hell in a temporarily dry creek bed, thought I got pics of the rocks I was trying to climb under the overpass. Took a good bit and some serious tumbles before I manage to get it to the top.

Got the rear axle done, fox belly in (with inverse trans gear conversion) and all but front shock towers of my rock pirates bits installed.

Got a bit excited at my last microcenter trip, they now have my tough filament in a lot more colors!!! So I am about to start the print for the updated cab on my new, much bigger printer.

Crew is making good progress. Someone went an screwed up though, ordered the wrong high clearance upper links for the front....

New cab is about a 3rd of the way printed. Printed in the tan color that I painted the lexan hilux body.

Looking good! I'd have a talk with that "someone" who screwed up the order!

Hey, is the blue lift in the garage 3D printed or bought? I like the looks of it!

Lost a fight with a rebar ladder after climbing a concrete covered slide. About a 7ft tumble/fall off the side. And me not taking the time to learn that type of filament before going all in.

We have some good progress made. Cab came off the printer when I got home from work.

Next to design a bed because options are limited sort of. Black tough PLA is out, but tough (inland Tough PLA) pla is about nuke proof. Printed tubes won't hold up very well and other considerations like weight.. But after some time on Google images I came up with something I think.

Body came out great! Love the direction this is heading. I bought a gatekeeper kit due to the price as well, and I have been really impressed by it even just in stock form

Mechanical: done she's ready to roll. Wishing I could have upgraded from my Amazon (honestly works really well tbh but not shift or nsdrc well) servo but had to get me a TRX-4M!

Front Lights: check
Rear Lights: easy once bed is printed

Interior with driver and navigator: check
-Went pretty vanilla on the interior aka full GK spec. Did better designing the body to fit it than I expected, interior snaps up in and really doesn't need to be glued or secured at all.

Bed will be done printing tonight.

Hopefully do something for a bumper pretty easily tomorrow Monday. Will but stupid simple stinger.

Final cosmetics and she's ready for next weekend! Bed, paint the grill and emblem, add a shit ton of stickers!

Oh ya, Missouri Scalers Rigs and Coffee. Thank god we bought a brand new pop up that has heat and heated beds cause gonna need it lol. Heading down Friday after work, staying till Sunday.

Man, she's looking good! Love how the Gatekeeper interior looks and fits in there!

Looks like the pop-up purchase was good call! Sadly, I think, Winter is finally here, or at least for now! Snowed here in Ohio last night!

I snowed quite a bit south of us, somehow it missed us completely. Going to be on yhe chilly side for sure this next weekend. Little colder than usual, I could have gone for the little warmer side lol.

Front stinger and headache bar in the paint booth lol.

She won't be totally done before the weekend, will still need lights wired and a front chassis brace printed cause I hacked just ahead of the second bolt hole off. Keep everything behind the front tires except the stinger.
