So im guessing CORR truck I will get to modifying the chassis to change the wheelbase and rear clip. The desert rat body is pretty coll but the only one thats close on size is the 1/8 scale body for gas truggy but the one i have is a little more scale looking. OK now Red bull paint job or maybe Carl Rendezender Lucas Oil paint job? |

Sorry guys no real updates other than its a coplete handful to try to drive. i say try cause it just spis the tires and lifts both fronts off the ground if it goes straight long enough to stay in it. As for the body its just .020 o aluminum, o being annealed so it is very soft the cage is all 3/16 aluminum welded and smoothed out at the welds. Thanks for the comments and i will do my best to get a vid soon but weather has turned bad here but i will try as soon as i can.As far as the other one i did use parts to finish this one but i still want some kind of CORR Pro 2 truck that i am gather stuff for.

Sorry for the questions, but what is annealed? After you make it soft do you just press it against the body or do you use tools like a hammer and dolly to shape it?

There are different hardness levels of aluminum T3,T4,ect. annealed is the softest most flexible of aluminum . I made a wood forming block and used a soft hammer to form the panels i also used a shrinker/stretcher on some places. Bottom line is the more time you spend on it the better the end product will be take your time and try not to get frustrated. Also the good thing about using annealed aluminum is after your finished it can be heat treated to give it more strength like t3 or t4. If you try to use something to hard it will just crack and break. I am no expert at this justhave some basic knowledge here so i'm sure someone might be able to give you some more info or correct me if i'm wrong.

I got some time and parts and started the rebuild. The body panels are just mockup right now. Reworked the front end with some Pede donor parts to lose some weight and help stiffen it up.
