Ok so I added some black and I think it looks much better. It's still not what I'm after, but I have an idea. I think I'm going to take a Q- tip with paint thinner on it and swab all the seams. This should give that paint burned look From welding. I hope it works and I'm hesitant cause it could make or break the paint job.

Paint a scrap piece of plastic, and test on that first.

If not, someone that's good with an airbrush, could do those weld lines.

The rig is looking very cool.

Nice work on the body Cory. Can't wait to see it running, maybe in time for our next comp?

Looks great I kind of built the same thing justa tad different.... Btw the hood and front clip on jasons is a 67-68 id guess a 68 by the side markers as that was the first year for them... The 67-68 hood(called shark noses) are laid back from the factory and 69-72 had more of a wall look to them..

The gray against the green looks like purple, not what I wanted:( I will add some silver and black to it to make it look more realistic. The dash also isn't exact, but it's the best I could do.

Jasons is a 68. They dont make a 67-68 body, at least I couldnt find one. So I had to use what was avail. I didnt think anyone would mine. He never inted it to be called the Blazer Buggy. Every body at KOH gave it that name. When we were at work and I started this thread I asked him what I should call it. The Blazer Buggy.

Jason and I rolled the buggy hard today. It was awesome. We are ok and the buggy is too. Just some minor body damage.

The buggy rides soo smooth. The crash was violent. I was wearing my gopro on my head and caught the whole thing. I will post the video when I get home.

The rock face we were climbing is about 6 feet tall and straight up. We started to roll so he tried to drive out of it. once we flopped, we were going to roll all the way over and off another 5 ft drop. Jason gassed it again trying to keep that from happening.....it didnt work. We rolled all the way over coming to rest on the drivers side. The GoPro flew off my head and it Hit jason in the face and landed in the door skin. After the screen goes black you can hear us talking, and the buggy getting flipped back over. That was one of the best rides EVER!

For some reason i cant post the vid on RCC like I have done before. It works on other forums. so heres the link.

That ride looked fun and wow no helmets, you must've had some good 6 point harnesses. Now you have to add the dents to the 1/10 scale. Lol...

As I started to buckle up I asked Jason if I was going to need the shoulder harness. He said no were just going to take it easy. lol I knew better, everytime he and I are in a rig together its never easy. I was only wearing my lap belt. We are going to beat the hood out straight. It will buff out

So I took the blazer with me to Goldendale to show everyone. I had it sitting on top of the 4runner all day Saturday. I noticed someone was placing it back on top of the runner when they were done looking. They didn't make sure it was secure and it rolled off and nose dived. I didn't think it hit very hard, plus I was about 100 yards away and couldn't tell how bad. The person did not know I saw and they quickly place it back on top. Tonight I was removing the body and I noticed the paint was popping of the body and it was in a bind on the chassis. I never noticed this before. I removed the body and discovered that the chassis is completely twisted in the front and bent up about an inch. I have so much work to do now. I wasn't finished brazing it so some of the joints were just tacked. I really wish people would be more careful. If you can't don't F-ING touch
It. SO FRUSTRATING:(

It's straight again. Now I have to put back together and then I canine forward. I will then add supports and finish my servo winch mount.
