As you saw yes. There were 4 sets as part of the proto run. Neil and I both got a set. They turned out great and another fine addition to the Locked Up line of wheels. |

Its nice that these have 6 studs and the others will have 8. It makes them a little bit better in my eyes | |

Got a chance to sling some more tube this weekend. Rear truggy is almost done after I get a few answered questions from Neil. 2nd main hoop on, start of shock mount and some detail tube. |

I'll answer that here:- Dan I'm thinking a real shallow angle from the rear roll tube to the back o the truggy. Just enough to create headroom. I'll send a couple others or you can back door my photobucket account to see updates. Let me know your thoughts on the rear tube. I don't like the Proffitt structure it's clunky. For this not quite a fastback but a cool line to it. neil Your thinking and execution has been spot on so far, excellent in fact. Shallow Angle is deffinately the way to go |

What seats are you thinking for this Neil? I'm more thinking for the rear seat to have Norm make one? I know it's Norm but his seats are cool...And he can make a matching rear. |

I have to say Neil has been one of the best people to work with. He has said repeatedly have at it you're the metal guy, that said I have wanted to personalize this as much as he has done with my FJ45. So with the lag to European time I will send mock up pics or ideas off in an email and usually get a 10pm-ish reply on whether he likes an idea. The good news is we have been on the same page with just about every idea on this. Last night I got the roof bars brazed in and got a few more shots along with getting the wheel tire combo in with a few pics. When you look at the body it is set in place with no fasteners what so ever. It is almost a snap fit over the chassis. It will have a few bolts holding it in place when done but I always believe the more support the body/ chassis combo has the longer a Styrene body will last due to no flexing. Neil can you spot the slight mod I made to the body? On to the updates: I also extended the front clip to make the winch plate and bumper. Neil plans to use the RC4wd or 3Racing for now for this. Maybe an 8274 later on...The rock over in their comp areas sounds like it roundish well worn and not so much broken like what we see in Washington so winching is less severe. I also learned alot with Norms FOJV that has been applied to joints, bends, even symmetry. I'm more than happy with how this is coming along. Here's a couple with the wheel tire combo. For now Neil plans to use ProLine TSL's but also has an eye on the new PitBulls. mmmm The winch should sit nice and tight to the body |
