I just found out 4 days later that my comp glitched during my purchase from RPP, the Paypal didnt go through and now my BEC order has just been placed. Guess Im at a stand still for another couple of days. Either way, I think you're wheel speed is high enough that most people wont notice the wheels are different, lol. If someone asks, tell them to look closer and nail the throttle. They wont ask again. |

bah, at 18 you should be able to run and keep up, lol. How does your temp run after a full lipo? Hill climbing is hard on motors. I stuck a CC motor fan on mine to help keep things cool. Thats my biggest concern with long/tough runs.

Added some outside details today. got all electronics mounted inside. Just need to make some interior now. Got some aluminum and made some CVDS using venom creeper CVDs. They seemed beefy, so I tossed a little thread lock on the set screw that holds them together, and had to grind down a bit on the ends so they will fit the diff like a glove. Taking out the slop in the diff, My aluminum knuckles happened to have Dlux kingpin bushings in them so I eliminated aout 80% of the slop in the front end Also got my new gears from Badd, and they are awesome! Its a 9 tooth pinion in 32p with a 50t spur. It is the equivalent to a 15t pinion in stock axial pitch with a 80t spur, which is what I was running. Very smooth and really muffled the sound of my rig. I do beleive both my rigs are just about ready for nats EDIT: Ignore the mismatched tires and wheels.... waiting to get my new ones |

Haha it would be alright. I dont generally drive other peoples stuff like I do mine. Of course, it all depends on the person If your username is MonsterGT or Destroyer then I drive their rigs like I drive my rigs |

haha thanks, its around 13.5 inches long Got the interior done and decided to run 2 1050mah 3cell batteries under the hood, and the esc got so hot it melted the solder on one of the batteries and blew the battery up I think its because the balance wire got caught on something and frayed and sparked... Very scary but other than the shitted out battery everything else is fine Have a migrane, will post pictures later. Time to put this on the shelf and finish my other rig and my buddies rig. |

Heres some interior pics: Short and sweet, and not much to break. Steering wheel, oh shit handle, and the shifters are bolted on and removable, as is the seat. So when I am delivering an ass whuppin it wont break. |

well.... Nationals sucked really hard. A 4 mile run through the woods was rediculous, and was 100% physically hard on myself than my rig... There was 0 crawling or hardly any kind of obstacle where you needed 4wd... I just expected more out of it than I got... As far as scale runs... The rig stayed broken more than it ran, and plus I had to judge all day saturday so I didnt have time to run it much.. Heres the damage and overall sadness of the rig. Only good thing about nationals was I go some new stuffs for it The Sad and broken: The good (Thanks John @ holmes hobbies!! ) Got home... let her sit on the shelf for a day or two and now I switched on hill climb mode Shane (SZCZERBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Hooked me up with this awesome big block blower motor. I think it was made for this rig I had to build it from the block up to get it to fit, and just CA'd it to the chassis until I can weld on some mounts. Yeah.. Nationals sucked, but when this thing was together it was fun. I guess my excuse is "I couldnt keep my foot out of it" One thing that never failed was the awesome chassis built by ScaleReady. Its as strong as ever and again a HUGE thanks to Phillip for letting me get it off him. Hope I am not dissapointing. As far as things to come... Ive got beef tubes, and hopefully some XR10 parts on the way for some AXR10 axles for a little bit of width. Last edited by Colby; 09-11-2012 at 09:15 PM. |
