Im taking it to the comp this weekend to compete with it in the new scale class, should be interesting since I only have about 1/2" of diff clearance and the wheelbase is under 11" Its going to be a blast. Of course I put a lathe in it, the 17t was fun though. I think rbgerrish got some video footage of it in Moab mudding and climbing some rock walls at speed

Deal! I think I will get about $50, provided my folks decide to get over their petty squabbles and take notice that their son is the first in my family to not only go to college, but actually finish. What can ya do?

Yup, I got some great video of it cruising around. Awesome truck! Look for video of it soon...

I've been a huge fan of G's for many years now, and almost bought a real firetruck one a year ago. I found a body at the Salt Lake City Walmart during Moab, and plan to make a scale truck modeled after my favorite G -

Great job again Nluv, truck kicks a$$! I love the 17t motor.

Cant wait to see the video. It took quite a while to clean it off I'm glad you found the body, toyofast mentioned you guys went around to 5 walmarts in that area before you found one I ended up going back to my walmart and buying the last one just to keep once this one falls apart. Its acutally quite a bit more durable than I expected. I rolled it into that water hole on course 3, held up fine. Although the grill now has a slight bend in it, just adds character

I will be adding more to this thing in the future, snorkel, more lights (that work) I might trim up the fenders to run bigger tires. Winch, roof rack. For now im just enjoying it.

Well they are only slightly bigger than the 2.2" wheel, so about 3" was my guess, probably less.

G Wagen did awesome on the scale course!! I couldnt believe how sticky these tires were, almost seemed like they worked better wet

Heres a few shots and you can see the headlights and winch I installed the night before the comp.
