It's not hard if you've got the right tools and you know what you're doing but it is time consuming.

EDIT:Look at the last two pictures in post #88.
thanks. could you braze stainless instead of tig welding?

If you make sure you've got enough heat (oxy-ace or Mapp) and use the right filler rod and flux you can braze stainless steel just as easily as mild steel.

Ask your local welding material shop for brands or product details.
The flux is more agressive and the rod has a higher silver content.

Wow!!!!!!! What a clean build.

Please for the love of god leave the stainless work alone. Stainless you never have to touch up. After years of use that stainless will look as bitch en as it looks now.

Just a thought.

Thanks,Evan.

I'll leave the stainless alone.
It does need a polish now and then to get rid of scratches and fingerprints.
But other than that it's maintenance free and virtually indestructible.

Thanks,man.

It's life as a 2.2 ended,it's a 1.9 now.I want to give it more of a classic look and make the wheels blend in more with the bodycolor.

Thanks, guys.I really appreciate all the positive comments!

The 1.9's give it a more realistic look and stance but i wasn't sure about posting a lot of 1.9 wheel tech in the 2.2 section so i decided to skip the updates for a while and continue this thread when i get back to the scale stuff.
I'll shoot a couple of outdoor pics when the weather permits and post them in the 1.9 section.
