a lot of the guys with cg-2's are just using the factory axial servo plate on the front and mounting the links to the bottom of the servo mounts

Yes I narrowed the GC2 front plate. I drilled new holes for the links to mount in.The width of the plate is 2.400 overall now.

I had a little carnage today crawling at my bro-in-law's house.

The servo still works so I will have to replace or build the case.

For the lipo,

make a tray out of some flat alum or delrin that fits low inbetween your front upper links. I did that on mine....although now that truck is just in mostly stock form...other than tires, rims, and GC2 chassis:-(

That's my plan Hildy ,I have an aluminum one I made for a nimh stick pack before I made it into a saddle and put it on the front axle.I'll cut it down to fit the new Lipo on and reuse it. I liked your GC-2 build, are you not useing it anymore?

I love the Holmes Hobbies Lipo! It realy brought this thing to life at a very affordable price.Had a comp today in some light snow and rain and the Gatekeeper GC2 chassis was outstanding .

I was one of the only guys out of 23 trucks to make this climb clean,a true test of proper suspesion geometry that plants the power to the ground.

Thanks both Holmes Hobbies and Gatekeeper designs for top notch products!
