Default helhedded's 2008 CDW comp rig

I'm going to try to get this all ready for next weekend's comp in @ Green River in Kentucky. It will be my first comp. I have a ton of work to do in between now and then.

currently on the way:

CDW 1.0 comp chassis (thanks Yotachump)
CDW straight upper link plates
Kamikaze Kustoms delrin links (thanks Kamikaze)

what will be used from my current ax10 rig:

Axles with Freak Stuff lockers
HR knuckles (thanks Scattman)
STRC c's (thanks Glafko)
Axial straight axle kit
Axial tranny
Stampede shafts
VF dig (thanks to jeepcj578)
Axial stock wheels with lots of weight
Panther Cougar's w/ hush hush foams:-P
Axial straight lower links used for upper links ...hopefully
Losi shocks
JR 8711 steering
Hitec 225 for the dig
Novak 55t
CC Sidewinder
CC BEC @ 6.0 volts wired with a Y harness (thanks to mudboger07)
Spektrum sr3000 rx w/ DX3 radio
1500 2/3A 8 cell ... soon to be a 3s lipo...
rock rashed grappler... not sure what kind of body I want next

So after all of this is done, I will tackle the Lipo hurdle, then wheels. Tonight I will get started on the tear down of the stocker so I will be ready for the new chassis when it shows up. Pics will be up as soon as I can get started on the new chassis. Thanks to all of the guys who have recently helped in getting my rig comp-worthy.

-Ashton

No, and I mentioned that before I ordered. He said the ends are easily grindable, so we will see. If they don't work, I can always hit up one of the LHS for some links.

So I managed to get some stuff done today. So far it's a roller with servos. My wb is 12.7 which is a problem that can easily be fixed. My ride height is high right now, but I'm just going to wait until I get the electronics in before I tinker with that.

Your rig is looking good, are those 4" Losi shocks? Your belly clearance is off the charts! If you want to lower it a bit check out the shorter Losi shocks:

LOSA5055 qty. 2 Shock Bodies
LOSA5015 qty. 4 O Ring Cartridge
LOSA5046 qty. 1 Shock Pistons
LOSA5064 qty. 4 Ti Nitride Shafts
LOSA5147 qty. 2 2.75" Spring White
LOSA5079 qty. 1 Shock Ends & Cups

Thats awesome, the ground clearance looks huge. I am going to invest in the artr axial when i get back off the boat. Good luck in the comp ashton.
I checked out the chop shop it was good pickins. Picked up a dx6i and a jr8711 for my wk, but cant wait to get an axial. Was impressed with how yours crawled.

I am sure the mini T could run with the 18Ts when we run them.

yes, my belly is up there. There are still plenty of things to adjust, so I probably won't need them.

sweet! you will dig that 8711, but just make sure that you only run it with aluminum parts, unless you want to break a knuckle every day. Good luck with that stick radio! Now I will never ever drive your rig!

The stick is working awesome, its like having cruise control cause it has no spring return on it yet. The 8711 is great and it hasnt so much as got warm yet. I burned up my other 2 tower pros in the next few days after we ran. I have the aluminum carriers and such so that helps got my rear strc lock outs on,now i keep breaking front axles. Look foward to seeing yours rn again when its finished up.
