Hank is not having the best luck with the new treads so far. We are not giving up on the Xlocks but the stock foams are just not working for him.

There is a lot more going on in that picture.

More than the fact that your dig linkage should be aligned better?

Yes.

The worlds heaviest SSS is under that mess of wiring and miss-aliened dig linkage. You have to admit the dig mount is bad@ss though.8-)

Your new avatar is awesome. Hank is glad that you could put his old Scout to good use.

I'll admit it, that dig servo mount is sweet. I really like the chamfered holes. Just proves you dont need CNC to make cool parts.

Put that triple S on a diet already!

Thanks again for the scout hardtop

There are a bunch of ways to shed some weight off the truck, but are they worth the trade off?

Lose the MIP drive-shafts, smaller lipo, small dig servo, smaller speed controller and that is just the big stuff.

Ditch the dig and beadlocks. Go ultra light. target weight of 3 lbs. Put the plastic knuckles and c's back on. Hack the body as much as the rules will allow. Remove the receiver case. Drill speed holes in the skid plate. Fill the tires with helium. I bet the CVDs weigh less than dog bones...

With all of those week links you just might be able to beat Hanks truck in the next comp.

Maybe.

New pix.

Hank had me put a slight bend in the dig mount to lower the servo just a bit.

Hank wondering how he is going to put the truck on a diet.

Sweet thread Hank, I am still trying to figure out what chassis that is in the last post. The links look a little different than before. What do you think of the chassis so far? Keep up the great work Hank.

Hank like's the chassis a lot. No shocks to leak and the tallest thing on the chassis is the spur gear.

It seems to work better than his old setup and that worked VERY well. We are still fine tuning it so it just keeps getting better and better.

Hank would like a moment of silence to morn the loss of his beloved HS-5595TG. It was a great ride but all things must come to a end.

HS-5595 you will be missed.

Hank got a airtronics 94780 from broncoholic. Seems more better than the 5595. Time will tell.

New truck is working good. We keep finding little ways to shed some weight here and there.

Hank let me use the truck at our local comp and we did OK. Competition is getting better and better at every event. Another 3rd place for us though.

Thanks Creepy for the pix.

Hank is running a cheep 45 turn motor right now with I think a 13tooth pinion and a stock spur.

He prefers his 35turn HH motor with a 15tooth pinion, but I just sent it back to HH because of some issues that I may have caused.
