Love them. The height is great and because they are wider than most tires this tall they feel very stable.

how do keep the winch rope on the winch points at the axles? what did you use for the winch pulleys. i was wonder when their is no tension on the winch rope, would the rope come off the pulleys as the suspension cycles.

Few new pics from before yesterdays comp. Trying some new foams and lighter wheels up front. Also removed the winch down because I had not fixed a few of the issues I had with it and didnt want to take a chance.

Also have to give a huge thanks to MaxAmps, I have been running these 860mah split packs for almost 18 months and they are still working great!! Time to upgrade to a 1100 3s and get with the times. That 55T $15 lathe motor in their is a bit lacking I really dont want to push those 860 packs any harder once I go to a handwound.

I changed up the BTA. The drag link now bolts directly to the knuckle, that eliminated the slop I was getting to do the drag link wanting to rotate. This was much more evident once the Futaba S9157 was installed. That 425oz is AWESOME.

I used some axial 5mm spacers and machined a groove into them. There arent any actual pullies in the system, but because the front line goes down to the axle then back up to the chassis spacer it acts as a 2:1 ratio compared to the rear. The line doesnt have anywhere to go and the easiest place for it to land is in the groove on those 5mm spacers when the suspension cycles. Hope that helps? I will probably be re-doing the entire setup soon

Nope, I have a brakeline bender that I picked up at my local auto parts store. Works great.

Stock gearing everywhere except the front axle has the 36/14 R&P in it.

That winch down seems like cheating somehow. Maybe because it's just too innovative to be legal. lol Killer rig, and great write-up! Cheers!

I saw this rig in a comp yesterday and it really works well, and the driver isnt that bad either One of the few rigs to run the pro sections without a dig and complete them. Great job Brandon.

2.625". Do everything you can to mount the servo, and batteries as low as possible. Dont use a bunch of heavy chassis spacers and body posts up high and try to keep the body as low as possible. Even the reciever and esc make a difference

Thanks Bill! I had a blast out there yesterday. Course 3 got me though. Still ended up with a -15 for the day. Seems great but not when your hanging out with bcrofts who had a -58

Good seeing you again!
