Im planning on getting some of these for my comp rig and my scx. My question though would be if i was to put a highspeed motor in my scx like a 27 turn or faster am i going to have issues with these overdriving too much and breaking stuff?

I've already got in one pack with these gears, and so far I like them. You can definitley see the front wheels turning faster than the rear. My turning radius in 4wd is better, and I seem to be noticing my rig being more stable and easier to control when climbing a rock face that requires wheelspeed.

I doubt that you will have any more problems than you/we did before these came out. The overdrive gears are faster, but not crazy-fast.

Here's part of a video that I shot/am shooting....it shows a good climb with the new gears up front:
(push the HD button and let the video load fully before you press Play)

That's a pretty good incline to just walk right up. There was a rock similar to that in our last comp that everybody struggled with.

My gears just came in today... I'm excited to see how they work!

This is now on the to get list, alot more simple and cheaper than the actual dig (disconnect, servo, 3rdchannel,.........). Wish i found this earlier

These rears are the shitexcellent mod 4 the money
the steering radius is alot tighter now, didn't really notice that much help on climbs, but some tricky lines like this seemed a little easier;i'm gonna put the fronts in too and see how that helps.
Hey JH what rubber ya runnin'??

Chisels in the above video. My usual comp tires are Panthers.

i've had mine in for over a week! these gears are 10 times smoother then the straight cut gears! and i can tell a big difference in climbing and turning.. i have the OD in the front and the UD in the back. i think i like the smoothness of the gears over all. it almost seems to make things easier on my motor (14t mini puller). not as much stall. and seems to get out of binds easier. awesome job axial! now we just need a dual dig transmission!

Ordered some gears to underdrive the rear. I'm looking forward to receiving them and testing them.
can't wait!
This thread is pretty much what made me buy them LOL.

Who is using OD and UD gears? Notice any binding in the drive train or strain on the transmission?

Just installed the under-drive in the rear. The ratio change is not enough to really cause binding. It's almost hard to notice when driving in a straight line.

It does seem to turn a little easier and maybe climb a little better. Probably the most noticeable thing is the smooth mesh over stock. I think they're a good mod but definitely not a substitute for a DIG as some on this thread may have hoped.
