I reversed the front shock and the lower front link locations at the axle. The link needs to be in the outer location and the shock on the inner (as shown now). I had them flip flopped.
The instructions (that I wrote ) detail all of this. I must have just got in a hurry and slapped it back together not paying attention.

Yep, you can stop by Brian's Hobbyland on Saturday to see it in action.

Got mine into a roller today. The Axial bta is a no go, I know someone already said that but I am hard headed and wanted to see for myself. I guess I will go back to the stock steering setup unless anyone has any suggestions. With Traxxas bigbores I am at 2.5" for a ride height. The fit and finish on this thing is great and super easy to build good job Gatekeeper.

Default Stoked!

Just got mine on Thursday evening. Thanks Brian!
It looks sweet. Got the Red Boss Claws too and this kit looks so easy. It should be a piece of cake.
Couple of key points:
- I'm doing a little retro tribute with this rig. Mix of old and new. It will look sweet.
- Its going to crawl sick but be way faster than a crawler should be.
- And last; Testing the durability of this kit will be inevitable.

I have one goal with this build; Intense crawling ability, intense high speed handling, FUN, FUN, FUN!
(Ok, so thats three goals, or so. Just wait and see!)

Default Thanks Austin, Jason, Brian...!

Got mine going today! Bottom line: It stays more planted than any AX10 Ive ever driven. (And I've only got 3oz added to each front wheel and 2 oz added to each rear wheel.) I am impressed!

Better grab a tissue. This is deep... The AX10 was my first crawler and the foundation of my RC crawling addiction. Like a fool, I sold it to buy other RC stuff. Then, two things happened in the same week; The GC-3A chassis kit was announced, AND, the guy I sold my original AX10 to over a year ago called and wanted to trade it back to me for some brushless stuff...
So, to honor the roots of my addiction, and also make a highly capable rig, heres my GC-3A build:

- GC-3A Chassis kit
- Axial; axles, tranny, shafts, wheels, blue beadlock rings
- Axial Baja Buzzard truck body!!!
- Losi 4" crawler shocks (internally limited to 3.75")
- Losi Boss Claws
- Losi electronics for now. (Lipo cutoff & killer drag brake, very satisfied for the time being)
- Hitec 985MG servo
- 19-turn Trinity Epic Chameleon Pro motor. Yes, its fast!

And, a few pics:

Default How are the Boss Claws?

So JDuke just wondering what you think of the Boss Claws? From what I've read they are pretty sweet.

What springs and shock oil weight are you running on the 3.5" shocks? I have never experimented with either and I would hate to buy three or four different weights before I find a set up I like.

Honestly, Boss Claws performed very well on the 2 packs I ran through this rig so far. They aren't miles ahead of the currently popular comp tires, but they are definitely on par.

Since I'm setting up my GC-3A as a basher/crawler, its going to be fast at times. So the buggy tread, and square profile of the Boss Claw was why I chose that route.

And the GC-3A does very well will high speeds! The link geometry eliminates chassis roll under quick acceleration. The original AX10 would twist like a pretzel under heavy throttle.) Lovin' it!

Silver Evader springs in the front and whites in the rear.
30wt shock oil.

The pictures of this thing are great but they do it no justice compared to seeing it in action in the hands of a Pro. I have got to compete against Gatekeeper with it twice and its awsome in action!!! I liked it so well I sold my losi and have started building one
