Looks good for a homo I may have to come out and test it for ya soon. May not make it to the next ORCRC to Vid/pic because of rain, but I want to come drive this on something but the steps in Jasons garage. I still think you should bite the bullet, and get a holmes motor and 4S. You will NOT be dis-appointed. I LOVED mine in the XR. So buttery smooth. Ask JonB. He can tell you how smooth I almost got that line too with no dig. Looks like it was drier than when I tried it. Plus, you have over/under drive. Fag |

Well work was slow this morning, and I kept staring and my Robinson spool and finally I chucked it up in the drill press. About an hour of die grinding, filing and sanding, I got this as an end result! Not too bad for just eyeballing the whole thing! Oh, and if anyone wants to try to drill one of these out, they are just surface hardened. So if you take a die grinder and narrow the gear first, you can drill through the side of the gear afterwards with a normal irwin uni-bit. TOM |

Speaking of shocks, I was sick of my old Losi shocks leaking so off they went. Got traxxas big bore longs to replace them. With the rod end mod they are 4 1/8" long. |

So I was thinking about how I spaced my upper links to up my pinion angle to keep the driveline off the rocks. And this question came to mind; what should I change to increase my pinion angle. Should I, A) move the axle mounting point of the upper link towards the chassis? B) lengthen the upper links? C) move the chassis mointing point of the upper link towards the axle? Which one is going to keep my suspension geometry in the correct GC-3 proportions? I currently have option B, but I'm leaning towards option A. TOM |

I'd say just lengthen your upper links, or not worry about it, your rear shaft looks like it's already up out of the way enough to me. And if it gets in the way, just pick better lines Tom Last edited by Tanis; 01-13-2011 at 02:25 PM. |

I've got a question for you about your castor angle. I see you installed the beef toobs, to get that angle did you simply grind down the tabs at the top of the plastic axle housing and redrill to hole or is this simply your clockable c hubs? I'm thinking about getting the beef toobs myself and I really wanna lay the wheels back like you've done. Great build!

Then re-installed the C's (be sure to drill the hole in the axle C to 1/8") Then I rotated them back.
