With the wider front axle I couldn't run as much knuckle weight. But I also wanted to try less, so I put my shaved VP base on. The weight before. Current weight. It actually came out a bit less in the end. Old rear SVEN lockout weights. As of now not running any but may add an oz of brass on each corner in the end. |

The Proline shocks werent my favorite and I had always planned on SCX shocks for this car. They shaved about another .3 oz. Some more pics of the changes. The new rear axle. Knuckle weights tucked in nice and tight to the wheel face. Completely revamped steering setup. |

And all back together RTR with a heavy 4s pack. Well thats a big drop from 5lbs 2oz! I will probably add an oz each rear and tune from there. |

Steering (whole truck) looks killer, what rod ends are those on the tie-rod?

I added one ounce each front wheel and tire, and two ounces on each rear lockout. Bias is perfect and the weight is a little more reasonable now. Test and tune tomorrow and State Finals the next day! |

Best of luck with the final mate. I would also like to know what rod ends you used on the steering setup. |

Thanks Buddy! Quote:
Thank you. Yes they are. They work out well, If I had a wider rear axle or if they were closer to the end of the lockout they would be perfect. But they still work well and don't hang out too much. Thanks Dicky! Quote:

| Re: 4xFord's Sportsman The car did what it was supposed to, and things worked out. I really wanted to switch to my Parma Exciter body since the hardline is a turd at rolling over. I see Jeremy and Michael righting theirs with ease. But with getting everything together to run the comp and getting my cars ready there just wasn't any time. Good thing I never ended up upside down I guess. I still plan to switch to the spec class body.....I mean parma body soon. Man I wish this car could just quit hiding under a lexan boat and put a cab back on. Last edited by 4xFord; 06-25-2012 at 11:51 AM. |

Good work Shelby, Congrats on the win. Why don't you find your self a chevy C10 body to change it up a little. Though I know what you mean about the cab, I really like not having to run a body down here in Sportsman. |

Great job Shelby! You made some of them gates look easy to where some could not get through at all. Truck looks to be spot on. Congrats bro... |
