Thanks Camo, but I'm not sure it would fit your truck unless you have the same type of mod I have. I'm using stock AX-10 housing with no beef tubes, stock XR-Chubs, and VP Wraith Knuckles. I just took it out today during lunch, and the front clearance is 10X better than before...maybe even 11 times better. Having the servo horn on the back again is pretty nice too.

I'm still getting used to the lighter weight and 4S. We had a great comp at The Crawlspace last night, and the courses were geared more towards careful/technical driving. I went back to 3S after the first two courses to get some more throttle control...I plan to switch the 14t pinion for a 13t soon. I'm still looking to lose some weight up top, so I turned to my XR-10 hanging on the wall. I've always wondered how much the Axial Comp Shocks weighed compared to the Traxxas 2660's...here are the results: Once you get the Axial Comp's working, they are a great shock but I can't argue with over a 1/4oz of savings. The 2660's are now on the back of my Sporty, and new 2660's are on order for the Viper. I hope to get some testing in for spring rate soon. With the reduction in overall wheel/tire weight, I'd like to try some softer springs. Overall though I can't complain...she's working better than I am so I need to catch up. |

i'm running the red (medium) mini-t springs on mine. seem to be just right. the pinks caused the front end to sag way to much, and the oranges didn't allow any sag. also the reds seemed to not wheelhop as bad as the oranges did.

See there is the killer for me, in SPM we have to have everything in front of the axle. Ah well I am glad you like it. Feel free to share the details on your axle mod though.

did you still have to drill out the axle shaft hole in the wraith knuckle? you know for when you install a no slop locker.

I got these in last week, but just got things together tonight. I just replaced the lowers and here is the difference: Over an ounce is a no brainer, so these stay. I also swapped out the front orange springs for reds. I'll keep the rear orange for now and run it for awhile. I also made some adjustment to the rear suspension jacking to experiment with tomorrow. (yes I said suspension jacking....Duuuuuuuude in 3...2...1....) The Ti links are lighter, but I also like the looks This truck is now at a weight where my scale can register...5lbs, 4oz. I still want to swap the 14t pinion for a 13t when running 4s, but that will have to wait until next week. Thanks for reading...or just looking at the pictures |

For those that haven't read Chris' thread on squat/anti-squat, you may not know why I singled him out. In that thread, there was a lot of talk about what's really going on with our specific trucks. I know many would disagree with me, but I no longer refer to the forces being applied to our suspension as squat. I feel that definition has been used incorrectly for so long, that everyone accepts it as fact, when that's not really what's going on. This really isn't the thread to discuss it, but Duuuuuuuude's thread is a perfect place...read through it and see what you think.

| You can say that again. Destroyed my bender about a week ago. Had her clamped in the vise and was putting some pressure on the last bend when I heard pow and stuff went flying. Bender was in three pieces and one piece is still AWOL. Looks like it is time to find something a little tougher. If bending Ti with a tubing bender, be cautious guys. Wear eye protection. Glad I did.
