Hello,

I received tubes of delrin very fine, of 6mm. I thus replaced those existing.

I also received Traxxas rod ends to make the links. The front and rear link are in carbon fiber, that seems to be sufficiently solid, they did not break on other Margouillat.

New lower link in delrin.

The weight down to 2092g RTR. Remain the panels what should bring back the weight to 2100g

After some test, it behaves super good just a small lack speed, would be necessary that I mount a driving pinion a little big.

I love your truck so much! I think if I can get my front link geometry to look a bit more like yours I might be able to do some of the cool stuff you do in your videos!

How are you liking your foam inserts? Have you done any more testing with them? I wonder if gluing the foams to the plastic sheet would reduce sheer stretching?

Hello,

i use soft inner et outer, with 4" plastic ring between foams, and I like much the behavior of the tires. Yes, to stick outer foams prevents that the external foams slips.

Very nice chassis and link... Will you consider selling them?

Just wondering do you have over-drive and under-drive diff gear in your axle?

Hello,

Thank you for the comments. But not I do not have the possibility of build them in series. If somebody is able to produce it in series with a CNC, that would interest to have feel-back from another people on this frame.

For OD/UD gear, Yes, it is one of the first options which I assemble on my rig.

Excuse me it might not be proper to ask, but what do you do for a living TotoRax? You obviously have a gift for engineering and design.

I've watched your videos and you have three of your designs in the turning test vid. A Wheelie King, Berg and this AX-10 and they all look very interesting.

Hello,
There is no problem Stormin2u, it is not a secret. I am computer graphics expert ou infographist (I am not very sure of the translation) (draughtsman at the base with a training in architecture and design).

Yes, I started with a WK, the worst crawler conceivable , but it is that with which I learned, and I liked this machine much. Then I had Bully, Berg and Ax-10. The frame of the AX-10 is an evolution of the frame started with the WK. I acknowledge today I prefer the shafty… I do not know why

I know both Jake and myself run the same wheel combo with our boss claws. Once you get the foam setup you won't want a wider wheel

Hello,

Some news.
In first some modifications on the tranny. I removed the slipper.
The 2 parts are solidarized by 3 screws.

The shaft is shortened

Then, installation of a kit HR to replace the output shafts.

Once installed, I do not like at all how the kit is fixed. The screws press directly on the plastic in too broad holes…

I thus recovered part of the original parts, pierced and eliminated the useless parts.

Now, it is cleaner

With final, the weight of tranny not increased

In second, the front axle. I wanted try to install Axial XR10 Front Universal Set. Thus purchase of all the bazaars.

Longer Original Gunnar Beef Tubes for AX/SCX axles

First installation

Then:
  • Eggressor felsenfest high steering knuckles V5xr
  • Axial C-Hub
  • OD gear

And the problems start
  • AX-10 C_Hub are too short for XR-10 shaft
  • The head of the XR-10 shaft come to rub on C-Hub
After some blows of files and bored holes, that functions

Other problem, the diameter of the XR10 shaft (4.5mm) in smaller than that of the spools (5mm)

I pierced 4 holes perpendicular to those existing. To block the shaft in the center of the spool.

Some blows of files on the trees, to increase their steering.

I must extend the steer bar.

Everything looks awesome! Do you want both of the tires to turn the same amount? How does your rig handle turning on flat ground? Do you notice a difference left to right?

The difference in steering is caused by the steer bar which is too short(2mm). With the good size, the wheels are the same angle. It remains still much of development.

The tests were short, power cap it exploded… but it is very promising.

Wow, look at the Felsenfest goodies. I love mine, I know you will to, Christian is a great designer himself. The extra width is a good mod for steering performance you won't bind on your shocks as hard and sidehill will be much more stable. Your truck keeps improving can't wait to hear what you think.

Hello,

yes, I appreciate much the products of Christian

I made limiter for the steering to protect the servo and the XR-10 shaft.

The final steering, with the new titane bar. Around 52°

The servo with the new servo arm.

Soon tests

Hello,

Some new, after long test... It is the version of the frame with modified R2 and with 300 CVD in front axle. I know, that becomes a little complicated between R2 Trany and that of the AX-10 and with or without dig

I try to reduce to the maximum the weight this to rig, mainly by gaining weight with the top of the CG. That becomes difficult, but it is there the chalenge

Losi were shaven. It close to 20g of is gained by tire, but below CG… Too bad

New HH 20T motor... Pure a happiness

Slimming course for the MIP All the tubes in Delrin passed to the milling machine

The sempiternal pic of rig on the side

Result, Margouillat passes under the symbolic mark of 2 kg. Weight RTR : 1.985Kg - 4lb 6oz

The first tests, makes today, are rather positive.

Hello,

I am very satisfied with Losi, I like very much the behavior. For the cut of tires, I returned to a classic cut pattern, one row on two.
