Hi, Well, the Black'Gouillat changed owner... It's time for a new built of Sportman I love this class !! Not of big novelty for the moment, I resume the project almost as before. The bottom of the frame is very slightly redrawn. I make it in delrin and I think of keeping it so. For this part the carbon do not please me too much, the weighty gain not being significant in view of the inconveniences of the carbon. For the front axle, I keep the configuration of Margouillat Pro, that is with XR-10 Drive Shaft, cheaper than 300 and who gives a little more steering. I wait some parts (Beef tube and Egressor knuckles)... For electro, I use un Team Brood 45T motor, with Micro Mamba Pro. I had appreciated a lot precision of the SideWinder, but I found that it was sorely lacking punch. Mamba is a little more powerful, normally  And perpetual Bec Castle. To follow... @+ |

Hi, Continuation The skid, already begun there is a moment, but which ends slowly. It is one part a little to complicate to make because it is the junction between the frame and the trany, and that I use a sheet of delrin of 16mm of thickness... For the moment, I use a old upper frame, it will be surement replaced by one in carbon. 3g to win by crossbar, thus near 12g of gained very high on the frame!! It's good @+ |

Hello, To the menu this evening, the links titanium : On the old version, I used link titanium of 6mm, for the rear. There, I experiment links in 4mm, they have 2 advantages:
But the risk it is they bend in case of big shock... Thus, to make to test. Here, the rear 4 link. After torture in the milling machine, there is 4 g of delrin First assembly I have to modify Egressor spool , with 4 little screw M3. The XR-10 shaft are 4.5mm of diameter, but the diameter of the AX10 shaft is of 5mm. The reinforcement before, the lightest possible, 6g. @+ Last edited by TotoRax; 09-09-2012 at 06:44 AM. |

This is so nice. The lower links have super clean bends and that rear upper link mount is a work of art. Top notch work for sure |

Hi, Thank you for your comments For the rear links, I wait to have made the tests. Some titanium of 5mm would have been better but I cannot work with this diameter |

Some update, but the project set of the delay... Many parts (Mainly for the front axle) did not arrive yet But there are some good news. In the first one my universal joints arrived. I won a purchase voucher at Big, to Notyro, I thus took advantage of it. It's universal joints for scale but it's also good for crawler These universal joints are very beautiful qualities. Their diameter is small, thus they are discreet and especially light!! 55g for Mip and 38g for Notyro universal joints They seem solid, they are completely steel and re-builable. In brief, they please me well Other good new, I received my transmission plate today. They are made in carbon of 3mm. The set trany/skid weighs 83g (2.928 oz), less than one AX-10 trany with plastics gear I was pressed to make it run, I thus have to use the front axle of Margouillat Pro. Verdict, it weighs 1.674kg (3lb 11oz) RTR (without ballasts). On this project, I am going to try to run without ballast, to make a test. The design of this frame allows to have a distribution of the masses of 60/40 naturally. Now, go to wear out it on rocks !! | |

| Re: Margouillat SportsMann Thanks Some news. I switch my old Tekin by a new Micro Mamba BEC takes place under the servo In the rear, I inverted wheel rims and put the smallest hub VP, it gives me a back way of 27cm - 10.6". Rx goes behind the trany Quick skin... The final weight stabilizes in 1652g RTR - 3.64lb. Now !! GO TO THE ROCK @+ |
