Great looking start it appears to be another beautifully crafted build! Tomi's SuDu chassis and tranny are an excellent designs and a great starting point.

I think I will need some kind of mouting plate for the sway bars. I hope I will have time to look more into that tomorrow. I have also got some lower links from Tomi so I hope to have a roller soon.

They sure are and thanks

Got a little work done tonight and finished the body. I am very happy how it turned out thinking of the little amount of work that was required.

Started to mock up the rear part of the chassis to start tinkering with the Dlux sway bar. Going to make the sway bar mount in delrin first to figure out where I need to have it. Hopefully I will have more time tomorrow.

With the body just placed on the chassis.

That body makes the rig look more like the Swedish Fighter plane Jas Gripen.

Haha, lets hope it will not crash as often as the JAS Gripen

Today I received the tires I plan to use with this rig. These are actually the ones I won in the Post Season Build Off that crawl-o-matic arrange in the end of last year.

Big thanks to both Ottsix and Everetty

It is some both reduced and narrowed Silver Voodoos. These tires will be mounted on the sexiest wheels available, imho

Or I will use these tires, some enlarged 1.9" Red Rovers with gold Voodoo side walls, also made by Everetty. These tires will however be mounted on the new plastic wheels from CI as I plan to use them on my lightweight Berg project.

Been trying to mock up how I want to mount the dlux sway bars on the SuduOne FL chassis.

This is where I stand now. For you that have more experience with the sway bar, does it look good or have I missed something

Tomi was kind enough to borrow me the drawings so I will redesign the rear shock arm for the chassis so it has the sway bar mount built in. I will mill a test part out of delrin first (hopefully on friday) and if everything looks good I will send the drawing to Tomi so if anyone else wants to use the sway bar on their SuduOne FL he can help you out.

The arms are more or less horisontal at half suspension. I will move the arms a few mm upwards and toward the chassis on the delrin version.

Yep, that looks about as legit as you can mount it. Now all that is needed is to tune by moving the holes in the arms along with the shock springs/oil.

Good work!

Doh! Forgot that... and yeah Nordics is creeping closer dangerously fast...

Played around with the steering today. My initial plan was to have the servo horn pointing upwards and then have the drag link going over to the other side, as seen in the pictures above.
But when I looked at it today I though should it not be possible to make it a bit less "clumpsy", so I played around a bit and ended up like this

This leaves everything low on the axles and a clean front

Hehe, nice timing!

Wife was kind to me today and let me sit and tinker quite a while

Started with milling out the delrin prototypes of the modded rear shock arms with sway bar mount. They turned out quite nice. I hope to be able to send Tomi the drawing tomorrow.

Compared to the original rear shock arms

Mounted on the chassis

When the mill was out of the closet anyway I fab together a simple plate for the electronic. The version of the 4-link plate I got don't have a electronic plate, but it would be nice to have one.

Mounted on the axle

Test mounted the esc. I plan to have the reciever and bec on top of the plate.

Then I couldn't help myself, so I threw on some wheels and it is starting to look quite ok now

I do not have any body mounts yet, but I plan to mount the body something like this.

I also started to make some Magic Links to use as upper links for the rear. Not as light as ordinary carbon fibre links, but the length is a bit adjustable and the ball end can be replace when it gets to much slop.

Hot as always. I was dreaming up an electronics plate and mounting it just like that for my Losi. I think I have a place to finally do all my machine work too so I'm hoping to get some of these ideas made into reality.

these Magic Links are also a very good idea, specially for the people who comp more than one time in a year

Those magic links are a great idea.

Adjustable, and re-buildable, all the things CF links are not; really gives options.

Awesome work.
