It's a 13'r.

It's right at 12.5. It looks long cause the body.
Better bring the calipers though.

Starting to assemble Comp Rig No. 2

This one will be very similar but the suspension will be set up differently, for different types of rock. Rather than change components for varying terrain, I'll just swap the entire rig for a different one.

this will have a sprung suspension, rather than a droop set up. It will be built more for clearance instead of stability and will be lighter, etc. I will also do rock racing in No.2. I just hope it turns out as good as the first one.

looks like a pile of parts, that will never work

On a sprung setup, try running a double triangulated setup with the lower mounted at the center of the skid. Lowers the roll center on a sprung blackjack, made a night and day difference when I got rid of the droop setup.

Thanks Nluvwithmstrbating!
Yeah....I was thinking of going that route. The nice part is that I can have a test bed rig and a comp rig, so as not to interfere with comps, etc. I think this is the way alot of guys will start to do it.

No problem Diktickler!

I just noticed how you mounted the axial braces to the BJ chassis, great idea. You didnt have to drill any extra holes. That should definately be a sticky

You'll find that dig unit works better when it's mounted in a complete rig

I'd contact Don at VF.
I saw another thread about the availability.
I do know they are selling really, really fast.

I used the upper tri links.
I had to also use one of the small spacers with it.

Couple of poser shots while I was finishing this one up.
It's also using a Black Jack Chassis. I did this one with a sprung suspension set up, as opposed to the droop set up on my other one. It will be nice to see which one performs better in the end. This one may be scrapped and turned into a scale tube buggy very soon though!....but if it works really well as a rock hopper and racer....I might have to build a third Axial based rig.

I haven't tested this truck much yet. From what i can tell so far is that it works fine. I might cut the links down and mount them on top, further forward. It should be a better set up for A-squat.
