He might just be able to make one of those to fit those axles.... With your permission of course

I have heard somewhere that C*H*U*D guy is pretty handy with the making of things.

I think it looks better than those new crawlers from the other manufacturers this year.

Besides this thread isn't about debating over the looks of this truck. It's about my desire to get one, mod it and comp it and share the results with everyone along the way.

Not as well as I hoped, but better than I expected.

The gearing is just way too tall for crawling, and the servo is too weak. The first two runs weren't too bad, but the battery and motor got pretty hot. The third run took a lot out of it and the battery, motor and ESC got really hot. I didn't have much down time between 3 and 4, so I started 4 with it already warm. The steering servo was the first to go, and then it got really glitchy.

But it actually seemed to handle ok, but even with the drag brake at 100%, it was still pretty much non-existent. It made it pretty hard to control.

The good news is I got a new motor, gears and a few other odds and ends. I'll post up pictures from last night, and my plans for next week when I get home.

Do you have one? Till then keep it to yourself. People said the same thing when the Berg first came out.

Glad you're doing this C*H*U*D. I've always thought the Ridgecrest looks cool, but wondered how functional it is. I'm curious what the truck will be like when you're "finished", if there is such a thing with crawlers...

So here are some pics from Tuesday Night. No chinchillas were harmed during this competition

And here's what I'm planning before next week. I need to carve out some time this weekend to get it all done.

Anything to help the roll-over recovery. Right now the stock body on its back is as helpless as a baby. Couldn't hurt to break out the X-acto.

I wanna see it cut! I cut my wheel arches and front, but I didn't have the guts to cut the roof.
