| New motor. Change gearing?
I'm getting a new motor for my ax10. It's a Holmes Hobbies CrawlerMaster expert 13T Will I need to change my stock gearing? Thanks Thomas |

Depending on your intended usage and input voltage, it would be a good idea to lower your gearing. If your only trailing on 2s, then you could almost get by on the stock gearing. If you have any plans of rock crawling, or running 3s, then you really should gear down to something between 15/87, and 17/80 depending on conditions and how heavy your throttle finger is. Note that pinions smaller than 17 teeth won't reach the stock 80 tooth spur, you'll have to pickup an 87 tooth spur. |

Im running Homes hobbies 45t tq Master and I believe a 60 spur and 13 tooth pinion. Seriously amazing set up for crawling! oh and 32 pitch of course. The pinion is actually from traxxus (weird i know but it fits perfect)
