I've been wanting to lower the ride height a tiny bit on my BGR Bomber. I came across a great deal on a couple Pro-Line Pro Spec 1:10 buggy rear shocks. They are a few mm's longer than the SC front shocks. I was very pleased with the outcome! It lowered the front end just a little! Exactly what I was after! It's subtle, but it does makes a difference! It basically made my front lower links and rear trailing arms parallel to the ground. I put the next to the smallest hole piston in the shocks when I built them. I think I'm going to put the biggest hole piston in them. I'm not liking the feel of the smaller piston hole. I also put Power Stroke springs on them. I think I want to try a shorter or softer spring on them, too. Here's a couple pics of the shorter front shocks and the slightly lower ride height. Looks way way way better and a lot meaner. Low slung rigs are my thing and of course this stance nails it. Is your travel the same or did you loose a little? You know i hate shock tuning because i know squat about it so i hope to learn from your experiences. You know i'll ask. Any videos yet?

Thanks Mike! I did lose a tiny bit of travel, but it wasn't as much as I thought it would be! I don't know a ton about shock tuning, just what I've learned from my racing days. I have learned that shock tuning is a lot more forgiving on crawlers, than on "go fast" race rigs! LOL!! No videos yet!! I haven't had much time to run any of my rigs lately! I've gotta figure out a way to mount my phone to my 4PLS, so I can take video!! Lmao!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the compliments, fellas! This rig is definitely my pride and joy!! A lot of hours invested in the build (along with a lot of $$$)! LOL!! It's not 100% completed! I still have a couple more aesthetics that I'm working on. They'll be subtle, but I think they'll add to the overall looks of it! Stay tuned in about a week or so! I'll post pics when I have these two details completed and on my BGR Bomber! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you have a part number for the shocks? Awesome build BTW. I've been following this since the first post. |

Thank you for the kind words! The rear shocks are Pro-Line Pro Spec SC rears - part# 6308-31 The front shocks are Pro-Line Pro Spec 1:10 2wd buggy rear shocks - part# 6267-01 The 1:10 2wd buggy rear shocks are about 3mm longer than the SC front shocks. They are the same diameter, same bore size. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've done a couple small things to it. Just gotta find time to take some pics. A lot of 12 hour days at work, the past couple of weeks! I made a small wheel change and a small change on the shocks. Both changes are for looks only, basically.... I'm going to try to get pics this weekend! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I finally found a bit of time to get some pics of the couple cosmetic changes I did on the BGR Bomber. When I originally purchased the 2.2 VP Methods for it, a week later VP released the wider 1.2" version of the 2.2 Methods. So, I decided to change the wheels to the new, wider 2.2 VP Method wheel. I knew it would look a little better, especially with the 2.2 Voodoo U4 tires. I stayed with the same color combination as the previous 2.2 Methods. Again, the change was subtle, but it widened the U4's and made it look a bit better. The biggest cosmetic change I did was the shocks. I really like the Pro-Line Pro Spec shocks! They are very smooth, and worked out well on the Bombdiggity! The only tiny issue I had was the blue anodized parts on the Pro Spec shocks. It wasn't a huge issue for me, but I eventually wanted to change the blue anodizing on the shocks. I completely disassembled the shocks and sent the blue anodized parts to BC-Brian at Lattice Innovations to be stripped and anodized red. Lattice Innovations did an outstanding job on them! I'm very happy with their work! I very pleased with how the shocks look on the Bomber, and I think it gave it a little extra! It was a subtle change, but a good change, in my opinion! I don't know if I will ever be completely, 100% finished with it. There's always little things to add or tweak on it. I'm hoping to add some more lighting to it, during the winter months. That will require disassembly and sending the chassis back to Bill for some added light mounts. I also have some ideas for adding a few scale items to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just finished your thread. Just have a couple of questions for you. In the end, what shocks are you using front and rear? Think I read Pro spec buggy rear on the front but not sure about the rear. Second. How is the skin holding up? I'm thinking about grabbing one but am curious how durable it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
