The SSD rod ends are frenched into the aluminum the same way that JEC does it, they hold up pretty darn well!

I've only stretched or broke kit rod-ends on mine (on the other links, not the trailing arms), the SSD have survived without any change.

Here's the link to HD rod-ends for the SSD arms:

M3 HD Plastic Rod Ends for Trailing Arms

5 of them for $1.99 at RPP:

https://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/ssd00050.htm

I have a bag of them just in case, but have not had to use them yet!

JEC has the stainless in stock on his website, The aluminum are sold out but choosing the stainless in the dropdown lets you add them to the cart.

Arms come bare just screw in some Revo ends.

I picked up a stainless set a week ago, I wish he still milled in the bombs.

I'm all for trying new vendors, but these I've found are completely lacking in descriptive information - they don't look bad:

https://metalfabbyreed.com/collectio...-trailing-arms

If they use Revo ends they'd be worth trying out...

Maybe contact them and ask them?

Sheesh, more pics or SOMETHIN' to give a better idea of their design... LOLz

I ordered the stainless. Hopefully they get here in time for me to get them on before I go on vacation. If not I'll pull the arms out of my Yeti kit. Speaking of the Yeti, for that one I'm going to want the lighter weight aluminum arms. I'll have to keep my eye on JEC's website for those to come in stock.

I ordered trailing arms and all links in stainless from JEC through Facebook messenger.

He messed up and shipped my parts to another client but it's still much faster than waiting for stock on his website.

Where's he based out of? USPS first class said 2 days, so I'm guessing they're on the east coast

North Brookfield, Massachusetts, IIRC...

He's also got another company, a lead-free fishing tackle manufacturer called Boag Hog Baits.

I love the full set of links I got from him... Kinda silly, 'cuz I bought the trailing arms first, from SuperShafty - then I got the other suspension links (and got the HD option, with drilled holes and frenched ends) for the front lowers... THEN, I got in touch with him again for steering links!

The funny thing is that I didn't build the Bomber and try them out for a year and 8 months later, so I didn't catch the fact that I got extra upper front links in place of upper rear links.

So, I had to reach out to him about that the other day, and for now I am using the links with Jato rod-ends instead of certain Revo rod-ends and in the "wrong" locations to get them to work.

He said he'll fix me up, but I'll say that for now the rig's suspension geometry is fine - no clearance issues and full suspension travel is present.

I just have the HD front lowers in the rear upper position, and the extra front uppers as front lowers!

In the rear I used Jato rod-ends at both ends on the upper links, and at one end of the trailing arms - since these are ALL frenched-in rod-end locations, there's only the most miniscule of weakness introduced by having to do this.

I'd say the only real change from doing it with the correct links in the correct locations will be that there may e a slight bit of weight transferred up front and a bit lower, as the HD links should be up front and down low, not in the rear as uppers.

(I'll stop chasing my tail here... I';m confusing even myself at this point. I'll just say that it flat worked GREAT when I tested it out a couple days ago!)

Here's what the whole kit looks like, but of course you can choose to get the High Clearance HD Links (3/8ths diameter) without holes, likewise the steering link - in the pic it looks as if it has twice as many holes, but every other one is just a tiny dimple machined into the metal:

Because I've heard too many horror stories of them getting sloppy around the mounting balls.

Unique mounting balls = buy more VP only
I prefer rod ends since i got tons of them in stock. Plus stainless is nice and heavy.

I've got a set of these on my Bomber. Well, at least I know what they are now! Haha! I got them as part of a used rig I bought. They've held up so far, but they are on the "to be replaced with VPs" list. I'm definitely in agreement with everyone on the replaceable ball joints, but personally not a fan of thread on rod end versions... I like it to all be one piece. The VPs on my Yeti have taken an absolute thrashing, and still keep taking it all in stride.

Do you have the aluminum or stainless style? If they're aluminum, let me know if you're interested in selling. I want an aluminum set for my upcoming Yeti build.

So much for these coming before vacation. I haven't even gotten a shipping notification yet.

Same here
He is a 1-man business so it's expected. I spoke with him on messenger and his son was sick. I guess he is behind schedule on his orders.

Well, I guess you can't fault a guy for taking care of his son. It'll get here when it gets here.
