I ran the 'Mog in Montana last weekend for the Scale Nats and I could not have been happier. It performed better than I could have ever hope The tires absolutely hook up too! I cut the small lugs out of them and it helped to open up the tire and give it a more aggressive look that fit it better.

Well since the mog failed so poorly in the field and the disgrace must be haunting you feel free to ship it to my address to rid yourself of it, it is......................

Seriously though nice job and well done! One of the best looking mogs I have seen and nice that it performs so well.

Um, I think it's staying around for a while. Thanks though! It was awesome to have something I built work so well.

There's a couple in this thread but I didn't take the pictures so I hate to copy them.

Here's some pictures Schlabinski took of it at scale nats.

Looks fantastic, i really like mogs.
Any plans to try portal axles for a bit more scale-ness and axle clearance?

Still no plans for portals. I can honestly say that as long as I own it it will never have portals. I want my stuff to perform

I love these wheels. I have a couple different sets with different tires mounted to them. They are a really narrow offset and look amazing too

They will raise the center of gravity and they are not very strong.

So Zach looks like you ran your cut up mud slingers at scale nats?

Do they perform better then the flash points or was it just a personal choice?

They perform pretty similar with similar weight. The problem with the Flash points, is that I have them on super light wheels. With all the tube work up top I couldn't add enough weight to the wheels to offset it. The RC4WD 1.9 Hummer beadlocks I have the Mud Slingers on are really heavy and with those it works much better. The cut up Mud Slingers work incredibly well though. They actually work better running backwards from what you would think would be the right way. More lug support.
