Ok I added the rear bumper and made a new mount for it. In the photo of the rear mount I flipped the bolts over so the bumper will hide them. I don’t know how i feel about the front bumper. So if u will let me know if it’s a go or a no go. I will be fabricating a set from sheet metal and tube. I’m using teas as a starting point.

Tonight I took the plastic upper links out of the rear end of my truck and dropped in the factory aluminum 6x91mm links. I also had time to work on the front bumper some more so here it is.

update

To day I removed the 3900kv Castle Element. The new power plant is a Tekin Rs esc and a Novak Ballistic 21.5 brushless sensored motor. The gearing is now 20t pinion/90t spur. I also did a mod to my esc fan box. I took an extra lid I had and fitted it to the fan lid to make it taller. I had to cut the front lip of the box to make every thing work

Ok so as I was working on old school last week I put the 93 tooth spur on and did not like it so I gave it to a friend. As I was putting the 90 tooth spur back on the new Tekin rs went up in smoke. The damage was the esc box and sensor wire to motor. I like the tekin esc's but I have had 2 go up in smoke with in the past 6 mounts. I hade a extra novak rooster crawler esc and 27t motor so that is runing the truck for now. I also added some mip drive shafts to the mix.

Update

I have added the Pro Line Interco TSL SX Super Swamper 1.9 tires in G8 compound. I tested the 4.30 size tire for my boy upcoming trail truck build.
I liked the tire so much I got me a set of the 4.75 size tire. I did however modify the foams that came with them. i cut about 3/4in of of each foam befor mounting. Ok im done rambling photo time.

Well it just needs paint now. The coustom gopro axial frame mount is done. I also made a blind for the inside of the body so you dont see the esc and servo when on a run.

With that Ford body what is your wheelbase of the truck and of the body? What links length are you using? I've been thinking about buying one of those bodies.

It is stock dingo wheelbase. They are 6x96mm The body is a Pro Line 1956 F 100. I had to trim the body cuz im running a 4.75in tall tire over the stock 4.30in tire.

Up Date

I have added a Vanquish Aluminum Transmission Housing to the mix of parts in my rig. With the Gears from Robinson Racing on the inside its just a sweet mix of parts.

Well im calling this project done. The truck works really well and only has one true draw back that is the short wheelbase. I like the truck so much im now in the process of building a long wheelbase version of this truck.
