So the evolution of this rig continues. Decided against the 1.9 wraith after finishing it. It's fun, just, i dunno. I enjoyed driving it but didn't at the same time. SO. . . swapped all the brushless components back to the XJ (ESC, Motor, 2speed trans, axle shafts, 2 stage shocks, and swaybar) Also, installed a set of JCAD Karnage rails. I had been running the TSS rails, but with my body setup and bumpers, the raised bumper mounts bugged me and caused the look of the truck to cause me displeasure. They worked pefectly, just astheticaly didn't work for my specific build. New JCAD rails (steel) compared to the TSS with skid mounting holes lined up Again, nothing wrong with the TSS rails, they worked great, but just not with my body and shock setup. Finished swapping everything ober last night but havn't wired anything up or taken pics. |

Got the rig together with temp wiring and servo extensions. No pics yet as its still very rough and not pretty. But I'll share a temp shot of the sway bar. I've still got to machine some spacers to lock the sway bar in place so it doesn't slide side to side, but it works perfectly. Swaybar maxes out before suspension, so still need a little fine tuning. At rest Full bump Full droop Again, wiring is a mess and will be cleaned up, just trying to get the rig sorted on where everything will go |

Took the trucks out on a scale trail run and let one of the kids staying with us drive it (his first time driving RC, so LOTS of forward to reverse on power) and i THOUGHT I had bullet proofed the rig, but the Traxxas driveshafts set screw backed out and jammed against the frame rails which then managed to torque the output shaft on the AX2 2 speed transmission. Ordered a new HD Output shaft as well as some MIP driveshafts so that won't happen again. Now to find the next weak point.
