It sure has....I definitely got my money's worth out of this custom build and it's been a ton of fun. For me, building, tuning and testing is just as enjoyable.

Do you happen to know if the beef tubes will fit in the ssd or rc4wd ar60 housings? I cant find any v1 housings.

I managed to get some testing time in yesterday. The crawling performance is definitely on the right track, but not exactly where I expect it to be yet. The passenger side rear shock is too soft and is causing the rig to squat and flip backwards too easily. I replaced the P-L Powerstroke primary spring from green stripe to the stiffest red stripe. The driver's side spring went from green stripe to yellow stripe (one softer than red).

I also noticed the rear tires were too soft and I have now put in stiffer outer foams.

The last change I did after yesterdays testing was a slightly longer wheelbase; I added about 1/4 inch to the rear links.

I'm confident these changes will make a big difference. I wouldn't mind adding a rear anti-rock sway bar, but this would take some fabrication.

Onward and upwards!!!!

I'm super stoked....I managed to mount a Vanquish AntiRock Sway Bar on the rear axle. The rear end squatting/torque twist issues will be no longer.

I used the Bomber link/shock mounts (on the axle) in order to get a mounting location for the vertical sway bar links. I went thru my parts drawers and found a Blue Monkey RC Wraith trailing arm conversion kit and stole the aluminum shock mounts. I enlarged a mount hole with a 9/64 drill bit. The brass fittings on the VP sway bar fit perfectly within this size hole and all I had to do was add a 3mm plastic spacer on each end to eliminate any side-to-side movement. I have no clearance problems with any other parts including the body. I used a Dremel with a cut-off wheel to make custom length 2.5mm SS cap head screws to get rid of the 1.5mm grub screws; red Loctite was used.

I see another test session coming real soon!!!!

I'm very happy to announce that the Wroncho Bug's extreme crawling performance is back. The previous changes plus the sway bar is a huge success and has plastered a smile across my face after today's test session!!!

The rear foams are probably just a touch too firm, but they will soften up as they break in. The only thing I can think of doing that will further improve performance is adding a 3-5mm internal limiter in the front shocks. I find that there's just a bit too much travel in the front especially on a super steep climb; the limiters won't let the front end come up as high when the front shocks unload while the weight transfers to the rear axle.

I was thinking that I would replace the Tekin 4000kV motor but I'm actually very happy with the performance both on the bottom and top end. I have a couple of SPC 2S2P 50C 8200mAh LIPO batteries that work really well with this motor and will last forever on the trail. All my other trucks use 3S batteries and these 2S batteries that I bought for my Summit (which I sold) just sat on the bottom of my .50 cal ammo box. I can always pack my smaller and lighter extra 3S batteries for the ride down the hill if I ever need them.

Look out nostopinLucR....your F100 Wroncho has a challenger!!!!

It's a Baja Bug body for a Yeti. I'm not familiar with C3 tire clearance rules, sorry.

That rear tire sidewall wrinkle in the last action pic is fantastic!

Gorgeous and well-thought out execution... lovin' it...

Since my B1B Bomber was converted to a B2B...I had an extra SSD centered rear diamond axle kickin' around, so I decided the Wroncho Bug's rear VP v2 OCP axle was out and the SSD axle was in!!! I should have weighed the built up axles to compare their weight, but it felt like the SSD axle was lighter which is good. The centered pumpkin also provided more clearance for the rear driveshaft. The only reason I am keeping the VP v1 OCP axle up front is because I stuffed beef tubes in them and I don't want to loose that low-down weight if I switch to SSD's OCP front diamond axle.

Fingers are crossed that all these changes will prove to be successful in the hopes of getting my Wroncho Bug back to a "Rock Star" crawler!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED....more to follow.....

A fantastic 5 hour day of crawling with my Wroncho Bug today. I finally have my machine dialed in for extreme rock crawling performance. GC is exceptional, side-hilling is confidence inspiring and is crawling / bouncing performance exceeds my lofty expectations!!! I'm extremely happy and cannot think of one thing that I would change...it's that good! Hoping that nostopinLucR will put out a video this week.
