I think it's a very tasteful and relevant modification. These were the large ones I suspect, not bigly.

They look great!

If I'm honest, I haven't actually used them yet. I've been on the trail with a couple guys that have them, and they're awesome. Nice tread depth and spacing.

Thanks!

And now, for the real power plant, courtesy of my friends at Tekin. Waterproof and shockproof. Box even comes with Dialectric grease for the Sensor cable. Top notch.

Went with a 2300kv ROC 412 for motoring.

After some soldering and figuring, I've cleanly mounted the RX4 and done basic programming. Happy to report I didn't burn the house down. Now to get some 32p pinions.

Also, was checking out the look of the KLR's with the Rock Monster inserts... I LIKE.

Just makes it look, meaner and the wheels are more appropriate for a rusty comp truck.

Everything about this build is just amazing. Any idea how the shock are going to work out?

Thanks, glad I could entertain. I have no doubt the shocks are going to do what I need them to.

After careful consideration, I decided to drop the Voodoo tires and go back to an old standby.

The Original Rock Beast seems to have been made for the silicone inserts, and I'm going to give them a try for the first comp of the season. Before Axialfest rolls around, I'm going to put the nice Hyrax tires back on. And do a body swap, but I've already said too much.

I was home today and did some much needed metallurgy.

Rollbar to help when I roll it, inevitably.

Bed-mounted spare. I cleverly used the Vanquish body post holders to hold the spare mount. Clever.

And finally started on this rear bumper with integrated exhaust tips for scale point awareness.

I'm probably going to taper the "air diffuser/chassis mounts" as they're going to get smashed up anyway and the clearance now sucks.

So smooth on the bottom... thanks a lot, 22 gauge steel...

So chuffed that I was able to make that myself. I hope my bender never breaks, I've figured it out finally!

I'm sure I mentioned it before, but I'm leaving all the metal raw, as I want it to patina/age/rust all on it's own over time.

Default SCX10-II - Winning is hard.

Looking good. Glad you went with the OG Rock Beasts, I threw a set on my new build too. Can't wait to see what you have in store for Axialfest this year!

I love my rock beasts! For a scale crawler they're better anyways since they've got a 1:1 pitbull tire

The Rock Beasts are a great tire. I prefer the originals to the XL's. A bit too big. I'm running these out of necessity for now, the silicone inserts fit these tires perfectly.

I finally got around to interior work. Because of time, and weight, I had to opt for a Lexan pop from the Axial TT. I planned to run James Knight's bits, but don't have funds to throw at it and couldn't afford to wait for Shapeways as my first comp is less than three weeks away.

Despite that, I wanted to make sure it still looked good, so... time to paint some heads!

I'm rather chuffed with the results, even if I don't have a macro lens. Larry, and his brother Larry.

After some trimming, double sided tape and decals, we've got a perfectly acceptable interior.

And, because I like lights, lights up front. I'm hoping to toss a Baja bar on the rear to qualify for taillight points. Vanquish light bar like it was made to fit in the Scalerfab front stinger.

Got it outside today. I'm pretty chuffed. There's a few things I'd like to try with suspension and ride height, but it's pretty boss.

Really cool build. Any comps coming up?
I would imagine this will do very well.
Im a big fan of droop setups. Once you get it fine tuned it should be really good.

Thanks very much, I'm pretty happy overall. Some tuning and adjusting should make it even better. I'm torn between these Pit Bulls and the Hyrax. Really want to run that tire but know what to expect from the PB's.

Thanks very much! I've got the June 2nd Team KNK TTC coming up. There's a scale trail run the weekend before closer to home, but there won't be anything challenging for this truck there.

Hyrax are animals. I'd be running those for pure performance myself, no question.

That thing needs more weight down low.
