Just freakin' incredible, my man! Looks great from every angle, even from underneath... the skid is so perfectly tucked in as the floor of the cab, the body is at the perfect height on the chassis and the wheel/tire combo is spot-on. You GOTTA submit this to reader's rides (or whatever) as many places as you can! (sweet drip rails, tailgate latch, bumper rivets, vent windows..... and on and on) |

Like any truck that’s “done”, there’s always room for improvement. The driveshafts in this truck were bugging me (stock Wild Boar shafts) in the looks department, so I replaced them with some shafts from Devil RC, purchased from Locked Up RC. They seem really well made and look great! |

I was able to get the truck out for it’s very first run here today for about 4.5 hours. I had a blast with it! I definitely notice the smaller tires, the truck gets hung up a little more than I’m used to but overall is still very capable. I only had one problem and that was the nut loosening off the steering link to servo arm screw. Within the first 20 feet I picked up a boulder. This wasn’t fun. I was pretty nervous trying to get it out! Friend of mine’s Trail Finder 2 Never ice crawled before, it was actually a lot of fun!! Thanks for looking |

Extremely scale looking! I think the smaller tires are worth it. |

That thing looks so real! I really want a pair of those drive shafts now to go with my new SSD axles.

Your truck looks so realistic in those photos! It could easily fool people into thinking it's a 1:1 truck. Do you do body work for other people? |

I don't do body work for others, I still feel like a rookie as this is only the second hard body I've built. It's extremely time consuming and so there's really no money in it. With a 2 year old at home, it's just something that I wouldn't be able to do. I'm fortunate enough to be able to do my own! Thanks again guys. I really appreciate all the positive comments and feedback, and now I have to start on my CMAX body.....

I'm not entirely sure LOL, it was really wedged in there. I guess it is a testament to the 1.55 Rock Beasts? I mean, they do say the Alien compound is quick sticky...

Amazing build. If you don't mind me asking, what do you do for work? Watching the build I sometimes got thinking it was a full size rig.... do you work on full size trucks? That trans and Transfer case are so realistic. It's hard to believe they make stuff like that, for such a limited demand??? Very,Very, nice |

The transmission and transfer case setup is indeed quite awesome. The guys at GCM are diehards and are fortunate enough to have made a living out of what we all do for fun! Lots of respect for them.

What size LURC hardware did you use for the Curries?

| Re: LSXGMC's Axial SCX10-II K10 Pickup w/ GCM LRT2 I just ordered a clod body to mess around with and have been looking for K10 builds to get some inspiration. I came across this build and Bob tonight and have read through both of them. I"m looking forward to getting started on mine but after reading your threads wish I'd bought the blazer body instead. Really awesome builds! |
