Default transmission differences?

Ok, so everyone knows about the differences between the rtr and kit version, 2 speed and blah blah blah...

Someone who can tell me, talk to me about the grey case single speed found in the CRC version? I know it has a thick plastic motor mount and all steel internal gears. Anything else different about it over the normal black plastic version in the rtr?

The mounting holes on the new trans are redesigned so they use 4 of the same size screws and don't strip out as easy.

The kit transfer case and trans case have different holes to atach to skid plate. You will need a skid plate aswell to fit the kit tranny version

I looked at the instructions on both tje rtr And kit. The skid plate are the same part number.. and obviously need the d-shafts for the kit version

The kit transmission and the RTR transmissions use different skidplates. Kit has two mounting holes but the RTR has 4 holes. The kit comes with a skid plate to install the old style transmission in it, and IIRC the RTR comes with a skid that will work with the new style trans?

They are the same part number because they come in the same package. AX31379
