Default Lowering the CG

Got a fairly top-heavy rig (steel rear cage and hard body cab) and looking to rearrange some components to lower the CG. My truck currently runs the LCX trans. I could swap to the axial LCG/SCX10ii trans which would gain a bunch of reduction. That, IMO, is never a bad thing on a crawler. One positive aspect of the LCG transmission is the more centered output shaft locations which would work better for a possible Vanquish d44 axle swap. I'm already running brass knuckles and have the 1pc ar44 axles.

Is it worth the expense and hassle of using the LCG (SCX10ii) trans?

Is there a better relocation/forward mount kit out there?

Doesn't seem like it would be worth it to me but it might be fun to do anyway. How much does it weigh with and without the body and cage?
