Transmitter is not getting power. The small box. Not the controller. I don’t know what the problem is. Like the power to motor is running through the esc no matter if it is powered on or off. Crazy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

That's the receiver, transmitter is in your hand. Have you tried binding or rebinding the transmitter and receiver? |

Yes the receiver is supposed to have a light and the esc is just blinking. The wrenching was fun. I am clueless to all the electronics. Everything worked at first. Now esc has power, receiver does nothing, and motor takes off as soon as you plug battery in. This receiver has a binding button but nothing happens when I press it. What is avc? OK first thing is to get power to the receiver. That comes from the throttle cable you run from the ESC to the receiver. If it is backwards you won't get power. Pull that plug from the receiver and spin it 180 degrees and plug back in. It most likely has the negative on the wire plugged into the positive of the receiver. If you then get the orange light in the receiver you will need to bind it. You mentioned a bind button so I am guessing you have the Spektrum SR6100AT receiver that comes bundled with your radio. This uses a bind button as you mentioned and not a bind plug. BIND AND CALIBRATION PROCESS Upon initial setup after the first bind, the model must be configured for servo direction, trim and travel. Then the receiver must be rebound and calibrated to those settings for proper operation. Center the steering trim and throttle trim on the transmitter before beginning. 1. Press and hold the bind button on the receiver. 2. Power on the receiver. The orange LED fl ashes, indicating the receiver is in bind mode. Release the bind button after the orange LED illuminates. 3. Put your transmitter in bind mode. 4. The bind process is complete when the orange LED on the receiver remains lit. At this stage the receiver is connected but must complete calibration before it will operate. 5. Pull the transmitter trigger to full throttle, pause, then return the trigger to center. 6. Push the transmitter trigger to full brake, pause, then return the trigger to center. 7. Turn the transmitter steering wheel to full right, pause, then return the wheel to center. 8. Turn the transmitter steering wheel to full left, pause, then return the steering wheel to center. The orange LED fl ashes to confirm the settings have been accepted. 9. Turn off the vehicle to complete the binding and calibration process. CAUTION: When the bind process is complete, the throttle and steering channels are active. Keep hands and loose objects away from all spinning parts on the vehicle. IMPORTANT: You must rebind the transmitter and receiver if you Change the servo reversing after binding Change the travel after binding Change the receiver mounting orientation Want to use the receiver with a different model memory Install the receiver in a different vehicle. Are using the receiver in 5.5ms and want telemetry, you must rebind in 11ms. Are using the receiver with a DSMR transmitter and you change the frame rate in the transmitter. I made a trip to Hobbytown pulled around back like I was buying dope and the guy said my esc was bad. I think I have everything now. Except I totally forgot to exchange the micro servos for dig and 2 speed. I’m almost done with paint. Promise pics tonight or tomorrow of finished product siting on the hood of my jl in the garage. This has been very satisfying except for the electronics. My receiver was bad straight out of the box. I have a couple of screws that I need to replace that are striped but all in all I couldn’t have done this without y’alls help. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Order the spectrum servos. Need the dulling paint for top. Painted the fender flares to match 1:1 turned out better than I thought. Ran it a good bit today. Never ran the battery dead. I was surprised. Started gathering crawler course material for the back yard. I’ll post up when the park is ready. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Look great! I am glad you were able to get it all sorted out with the electronics. Your daughter looks happy with the end result as well. You did a really good job for your first build. Now just drive it and have fun while looking / waiting for the upgrade market to catch up to customize it as you want. The good thing is customizing these is a lot cheaper than a 1:1 |
