Many of us just put the battery up here, you don't really have to make it difficult. "stick pack" sized packs sit up front without any mounts needed or anything. Don't over complicate a toy truck Bender just does it so that it looks great. It's just a little more work. |

Hi, I'm considering building a Wraith in kit form and I would like to know if the setup I plan on using is ok. I dont want to spend too much but I would like to make a decent fast mud rig (probs wont use it for crawling but I want to get a sensored combo just incase) I am planning on getting the kit and adding these 32P conversion- http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=RRPC0114&P=K TowerHobbies.com | DTXC9397 DuraTrax Spur Gear 32P 56T Nitro Evader BX RRP tranny gears- 1540 1541 And the MIP Spline Center CVD Electronics- HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : BMS-660DMG+HS Super Strong Digital Servo (MG) 14.2kg / .17sec / 52g HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : Hobby King GT-2 2.4Ghz 2Ch Tx & Rx I'm not quite sure about weather or not I should use this motor combo, its a cheapo I found and I dont think there are any reviews on it, but it looks fine and its cheap so I was thinking I would be able to waterproof it and run it without worrying too much- Sensored Brushless Motor 17.5T+60A ESC+USB Link RC Car | eBay What do you think? |

Alright I've got another Q, I know the 32p spur I metioned before will fit on the Wraith because someone else is already using it and said it would work but thats gonna be out of stock till March and I cant wait that long so can anyone answer these questions on this spur TowerHobbies.com | 5654 RJ Speed Spur Gear 32P 54T Digger A)Will this fit on the Wraith? B) does anyone have any experiance with this gear- is it durable or weak (will I need extras)? C) Is the 54t-14t gearing alright for a 540 13.5t brushless or should I get a 13t pinion instead? Thanks |

Is anybody running a 35T motor with an 87 spur and 17T pinion on your Wraith? How does it do on the rocks/trail. How is the torque/wheelspeed with this combo? |

| Re: Wraith Beginners Guide That would be a good combo, especially in the rocks. I would suggest 3s lipo for decent wheel speed.

What change would you make to give a touch more wheel speed? (Just worried about being a little too low geared.)

I got my Wraith the other day and I love it. It is the best of many world's and that is what sold me on it. I do have one question/issue. When facing the front the left side had a "droop" to it and the rig is not level. I check to see if maby a shock was sticking or blown. Shocks are not leaking and have smooth operation. That rules that out. Also, the right front tire seems to be toed in and that makes the rig pull to one side. Any ideas on cause or solution would be a great help. I love the rig and can't wait to "tinker" with it just like I have always done with my Rustler's in the past. Thanks in advance for the help. ALLEN

Spin the adjuster on the shock to fix the other problem. It may not be at the same level as the other shocks but it should mostly fix it for the most part. | |

Another quick question. I am buying a second set of wheels & tires more for crawling then fun. Alum. beadlock wheel and Hot Bodies Rover tires. Should I go with the soft or the medium compound? What are the pro's and con's of the tow compunds? I will use the stock wheels & tires from the RTR version for around the yard fun. Thanks for the help. Allen
