I ended up pulling the servo winch and turning this into my sons rig. Still waiting on the weather to warm up so I can paint my DC Rubi Wraith body. Check out the new racks for the wraith. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/tools...roduct%2A.html |

| Re: ~Freedom~ Nice racks. I would however, hook them by the axle tubes so you don't get those awful flat spots in the foams.

The tires are spreading the load over the front and bottom ledge. Not as bad as you think, not as bad as sitting on all 4 wheels on the bench. | |

Here is an update of the Freedom rig. Took out the Goat2s and put in a MMP and waiting on a Tekin Redline motor. Painted my Rubi body and changed my Baja lighting to under the roofline. Also did a cage mod for a better look. |

Waiting on funds I decided to install the 18.5T Novak sensored brushless crawler motor from the Goat2s system. It is rated at 2,700KV. Not as fast as I wanted but it is faster than needed. Running the MMP on 3s with minimal tuning it screams along. Gearing is 22/87 and it crawls like a snail but throws down some solid speed runs too. I added some internal shock springs from ACE hardware to pull down the ride height and limit the droop travel. I crawled some of my backyard lines and it hooks up as well as before. The benifit is I am not on my lid all the time when my finger gets trigger happy. I still need to tune my tire foams for a little more sidewall stiffness on the TSL's or I am going to try a different tire. As of now I can say it is a solid rig! |

Had some time to tune in the MMP and dial in the settings. Still running the 22/87 gearing on the silver can Novak 18.5t Brushless motor. I swithed over from the Smart Sense mode to the CHEAT brushless only mode and set it to 18 degrees advanced timing kicking in at 3500 RPM to 4500 RPM. I am running a 3s battery with 35-70c rating. I can run wide open for 5 min and can still touch the motor with my finger. The crawling ability is perfect and the speed is more than needed. I can spin the tires and drift it with a pull of the finger, or throw it into a cyclone donut spin on command. These Wraith rigs are a blast to drive with so much wheel speed and power. Not just a crawler anymore. |

I scored a deal on some Tekin Redline motors. 13.5 and a 10.5. I'm still running the MMP and haven't spent much time tuning yet to the new motors. These motors haul ass and still crawl great. I will keep the 18.5 Novak for when I will need more crawling and less speed.

I am finally having fun driving this Wraith again. I have a jogging trail that is about 3ft wide of compacted decomposed granite and it zig zags around a preserve. Very few people use these trails and stick to the paved trails instead leaving a great place to run wide open. My 2-1/2 year old son rides his bike and I drive the rig ahead of him. It takes some serious skill to use that Redline 10.5 all out and stay on the trail. I would spin out often and sometimes even pull off a sic recovery before I would slide off course. The terrain is sweet for high speed drifts on the big sweeping corners and some serious high speed corridors that test your skill and nerves. MMP and a Tekin Redline is a solid combo I would recommend to any Wraith owner. Now to just make it all waterproof. |

I had a sheet of carbon fiber that I cut to shape and made a rear cover. Cleaned up the look a little. |
