Now I am noticing in your first picture you have a small "plate" covering over your hinge pins and toe block area, is that a standard part with the arms you baught or seperate purchase?

My exo's front end (toe block) was destroyed within 3m of her maiden voyage like it was made of fu**ing wax...

Those toe blocks are made out of stainless steel by Threat Motorsports. You can search for info on rcshortcourse.com, they are a vendor there.

They hold up pretty well? Im not going with plastic and refuse to use stamped alloy, especially Axials stamped garbage... Thanks for the info now I can get my exo back up with parts I am comfortable with "thumbsup"

They are bomb proof"thumbsup"

Also while your at it pick up some 3.5 inner hinge pins. They are SC10 4x4 front pins, used front and rear on the exo.

Rock on man good to know about the hinge pins too, because in all honesty, Axials factory alloys are a joke... I couldnt believe how weak their motor mount was too. Axials slippin into a composite stamped company. Still love them though.

I got tired of blowing pinion bearings so I'm trying Jeremy's thrust bearing mod.

I haven't taken it apart yet to inspect it but I have had no more issues with the front drive since I put it in. I'll do the rear as well the next time I have it apart.

Tmaxxed 10-11-2013 12:10 PM
