| Super Noobie!
So the last time I had a RC was the Traxxas Cat (my uncle use to own a hobbie shop)...google that one, a long time ago! I bought a Wraith PS about a month ago and have been stocking the forum ever since. First I would like to thank each and every member on here for all the info/knowledge, you guys, gals have and are willing to share! I just wanted to show a couple of pictures of what my Wraith has evolved into.... Got a Hitec 5646wp due to stock servo lasting a couple weeks, some random steering link, and a 5000mAh NiHN battery, boy was that a mistake. Gears in servo lasted 1 week and links would make it bind so bad it wouldn't turn. So after some more reading on here, I ended up with a 2s 5000mAh LiPo, Blue Monkey Steering links, Axial chubs, knuckles, lower and upper links, Hitec7654sh servo, axial clamp on horn, 10A CC BEC, and a plasti dipped roof. What a difference that makes...now I think I can run it until something breaks then upgrade from there. Everything else is stock. Thanks again!! The beagle love to chase it around the backyard, seems it's the only thing that wears her out!! |

Welcome and congrats on the Wraith. I think everyone here loves theirs and they are all so similar and different at the same time (if that makes any sense lol). What wheels are those? Also, why didn't you like the NiMh?? I thought about running a couple for when I wanted to get wet, just to be sure I don't hurt my expensive Lipos.

Makes total sense! The wheels are rc4wd "wagon wheels" I put those on in anticipation of a Cherokee body. LiPo has so much more power and seems to be more predictable than NiMH.

Right on. Yeah the power is definitely more linear with a lipo.

So, I finally twisted the front drive shaft on Saturday morning! MIP's on order!! When it twisted, I was turning which took out the right front dog bone axle. Got some universals on order too! Can't wait for the postman, what an expensive weekend!

You will be pleasantly surprised at how well the incline driving will have been improved with that weight up front. Looks great!

I like it, other than after about 45 minutes of straight trailing it gets very glitchy. If I let it cool off for about 10 minutes its fine.
