What would be really nice though would be if someone would make a delrin skid plate for the Wraith. I would buy one for sure.
But enough of hijacking the OPs thead....its a nice build and I look forward to seeing more.

It's amazing how a few people have to vent there personal problems on the internet, to try an ruin another person's love for the hobby no matter how or what it's built with, for only there own satisfaction. Which shows how dumb they are. Great build keep it up!!!

Better to try and fail and gain some experience than to not try and gain nothing.

Anyway, the reason I asked if it was a shelf queen was because of the tire foam and aluminum skid choices.

Memory foam started falling out of favor about 3 years ago. In a rig this heavy, its going to cause problems. Pop into Harleys $50 build thread and watch his latest video which just happens to cover foams.

Aluminum just doesn't work well if you plan to do any sort of crawling. It looks nice, and for a short time will slide across stuff, but after a short time it will get all nasty looking and become a hindrance. The stock plastic skid really is the best option until someone starts making them out of delrin.

Otherwise, this will be a fantastic looking rig with quality parts. Carry on.

There are many of us who love to build RCs for the simple fact that you CAN just buy parts and bolt them on and go. That is one of the main reasons I spend time on this forum is because all the small time vendors who make top notch custom parts.....that you can just bolt on! Because of the awesome vendors on this forum you CAN build a top notch crawler with all bolt on parts.
Im capable of fabricating amazing custom rc parts but as a full time welder/fabricator I spend 80 to 100 hours a week welding and fabricating stuff for other people/companies. The last thing I feel like doing after a 14 hour day is to fab stuff for my RC cars. Granted I still do build a lot of custom parts on my builds, but only if its something that cant be bought.
So stop being so critical of other peoples builds....a build doesn't have to be all custom made to be awesome. In fact some of the crappier builds ive seen on here are from people who tried to build there own custom parts but have no skillz

Dont mean to be harsh but it pi$$es me off when people disrespect other peoples builds. Its an awesome build and just because there is no custom fabbed parts means nothing. Is going to be a really sweet rig.

.

Nicely put, the negitive shit on here is ridiculous. People in the hobby an buying/Breaking things an having a great time is what its all about! I support ALL hobby enthusiast! Except Drifters jk

Because in the 1:1 world we all do "parts assembly" when we are putting together hot rods, racecars and woods trucks. Great build, don't let the haters get ya down. I personally can't afford a build of this magnitude so I am living vicariously through this thread. Keep the parts coming!
