Have made a few small tweaks before todays practice.

Added about 55g to the front wheels using lead sheets.
2 full wraps in the channeled groove and 2 full wraps in full width.

This brings the front wheels to a total of 365g with Boss Claws and Nova 5.25" Double Deuce foams:

Keeping the rears unweighted for todays practice at a total of 175g:

I also added some 3M chassis protection tape to the motors and rounded off all the edges on the links and some on the skid plate

Finally got the 4PK matching sKinz mounted as well

Really like the look of it now (despite a few wrinkles):

That's a very nice looking T1E XR10. Great work.

Thanks

After a few minor adjustments and tinkering the rig is now working GREAT

But I'm still doing some fine tuning to get it to outperform my "old" and trusty Bully

With the shorter damper housing and rod, rod ends mod and internal limiting they are 97mm in the rear and 93mm front (eye to eye).

I might actually limit them some more as I don't need all the ground clearance

The shock and link mounts on these axles are wider than Bergs as well...

Did you use longer rod ends to make up the difference or did you make longer front links?

I noticed that when using my Bully as a template for this build.
Everything had to be slightly extended

I have used Traxxas Jato Rod Ends where the lower links connect to the chassis. This puts the wheelbase at 12.5" resting under it's own weight.

It will however extend to a few millimeters beyond the 12.5" mark when pushed down.

But the rules here in Norway dictates that the wheelbase should be measured when resting under it's own weight

Thanks Heath

I figured you would like the sKinz

Neal at www.freqeskinz.com is a genius.

I'll post up some pictures of Moonbuggy #2 in Team Moo-Volution with matching sKinz soon

I guess a small update on the XR10 Moonbuggy is in order

Hot racing aluminum transmission case and motor plate, reinforced lightweight gears, lockouts and c-hubs along with Vanquish Zero ackermann knuckles:

This is what met my eyes as I opened the transmission case. The ball bearing for the transfer gear was totally shattered to pieces. I guess I'll do the 9mm bearing mod until VP has the new cases out

Pretty pleased with the steering angle on the new setup
Just need to get hold of a longer Robitronic servo arm as my Racers Edge is too short. EPA is now set to 120% (max) and 115%

I also swapped my 4PK for the new 4PK Super along with a couple of the new tiny receivers

And finally a few poser shots with the new updated sKinz:

Love the rig manThats a nice set of upgrades. I've been thinking about getting the HB trans cases. How do you like them?

The fit and finish is actually great except for the exact same slop where the flanged bearings seat. But this would easily be fixed by drilling them out to accept 9 or 10mm replacement bearings

As mentioned the fit and finish is actually top notch except for the exact same slop where the flanged bearings seat.

So a little work modifying the transmission case to accept a 9 or 10 mm bearing should be expected. Other than that....no complaints from me

Do you think the vp bushings would change that?

They might. Haven't tried them myself though.
I would rather upgrade to bigger bearings than actually "downgrade" to bushings
