I'll start machining those tomorrow. I planned on doing them yesterday, but I'm glad Richard caught that one last change.

That's one of the last details we need to hammer out. I have some ideas, but also want to see what DickyT, BillJ and Flapjack have to say.

Final version should have that. I will be cutting out the space on the rev.2 chassis I get again.

Almost half the weight compared to stock and getting lighter? I like this very much, nice work. Looks like the skid still has a lot of material that could be removed.

Machining delrin is nice but it sure does make a mess eh? It is also real good at clogging your coolant lines (if your using them). Better get the broom out.

X2! I really like how the shocks are mounted. It reduces the mounting angle on the chassis and still keeps the inboard shock triangulation. Keeps the stress off where the chassis see's it most.

I like the grooves on the skid as well. Got any pictures of it all mocked up? Nice work.

Here are a few of the first run proto, I need a day or two after the rev2 gets here before I can get some of it. Juan might be nice and take some chassis shots before he mails them out to us.

Wow, that actually looks pretty mean... I do like it. Does all those body panels come like that in the kit? Thx for those pictures.

Thanks, I made the body panels, it does not come with them. a can of Black and gunmetal tamiya paint, an HH paint mask for his logo, trim tape for the line (removed before the black was sprayed). The rcbros is a sticker.

I machined the shock mounts today...much slimmer than the first sets. You can probably pick out how they are mounted with just one screw on each side. To keep them from rotating, the tab sits flush with the edge of the upper plate. This locks the mount so it can't turn.

The mounting holes for the shocks are now tapped for M3. This is so you can run the bushings a bit looser, and still use a nut to lock the screw in place.

All of the shock mounts are machined, but the rest need to be tapped still. I'm focusing on getting this one out tomorrow so that Richard gets it before the weekend. The others will be a day behind, and mine will end up being last

I also got all of the crossbars cut. This chassis uses the same length crossbars as the Fastback so these will come in handy for both. This is what 35' of 1/4" Delrin rod ends up looking like

All I have to do tomorrow is drill holes in the skids and this can get boxed up.

Thanks for looking.

Wow someone needs to clean up Juan's milling machine good work with all that Delrin, its one of my fave materials to machine, mostly since I can go gung ho on it with the milling machine. Nothing's more fun than ripping a 2-flute 1/4" end mill through at 5,000 RPM and a feed of like 90

Will the shock mounts be limited to 1 hole? or will the final feature a few extras for tuning? Sorry for the all the questions, in no way picking the chassis apart. Just looking forward to getting one once I can.
