I did not realize you had an XR now. Good looking build. How do you like it compared to your berg.

Greg had a xr that his son had won and he had it out at a GTG up here last spring. I remember him saying it drove easier than his SDS berg did. He still prefered to comp the berg though. I guess he though the berg could pull harder lines but required more attention.

I havent driven it a whole lot yet....it still needs a bit of tweaking and I have been having problems with the front motor. I should have some time soon to get those issues figured out, then I will start driving it a bit more.

I finally had some time to finish up this truck. I had been having problems with the front motor cutting out, so I pulled it and cut the comm and rebuilt the rest. I also installed some BWD motor guards:

And lastly, the body that I had always intended to put on this truck:

I have tomorrow off from work and will be putting a few packs through this truck to see how it drives....I cant wait!

Looking good J! I always like that body also.

After Eddie's, seeing all comp rigs running around. I miss having a comp rig, I'd like to build budget comp rig now.

I'll try my best to make it happen. If I can pull this this off, I'm going to get back to my roots stick with with bodied chassis. Most likely cdw chassis.

Nice paint job

Trucks looking good. How would you rate the truck in current state vs your berg with with the work youve done on it?

To tell you the truth, I dont have enough wheel time on this truck to make that comparison...

I've been driving this truck a bit this week and finally took some photos:

It definitely still needs more tuning and I need more drive time to be able to keep up with my berg, but I like it!

I let someone drive this truck in our comp over the past weekend and it seemed to perform nicely. I heard no popping from the gears and there was no breakage.

Very nice rig J...glad to see you're putting those Motor Sav'rs to good use

Is that Blade brace for this rig? It's heading out the door now BTW.

I wish I could have made it down last weekend. Let me know when your next beach comp is so I can try to make it down!

Thanks Don! Yeah, that brace is for this truck. I was hoping you got that message about my shipping address....not sure why it didnt include the street and number.

We should be having one there after the first of the year.
