Default ESC, Motor Plate and Gear choices...

Hi everybody, my XR10 stock gears are blown (including the spare ones) and I am thinking of rebuilding the whole rig...
I've ordered chaotic special chassis and ti links all around.

Q1. Now debating on the ESC part. I'm using Axial 55T motors (the orange one)
Was using some Novatech esc and it's giving me problems...
Should I take CC Mamba Micro Pro or wait for CC Sidewinder Micro?

Q2. Because of gear problems I'm looking at motor plates and gears...
Motor Plate: VP motor plate or RC4WD kit or Axial HD motor plate?
Gears: RC4WD (out of stock) or Axial machined?
everybody seems to love the RC4WD gears, but I don't see many reviews on the Axial Machined... are they not as reliable?

most of the debate is whether to choose an in stock option or wait for the out of stock ones...

Thanks first for any reply!!

Wait for the RC4WD gears to come back in stock, then get the gears and the case/plate conversion at the same time. Are you going to be running 2 ESC's or one?

For your ESCs either solution will work.

I ran dual Mamba Micro Pros and really like them. I now run dual Sidewinder Micros, and they get a tad warm, but for me the size/weight savings is worth it. IF you think that at some point that you will switch to a pair of 35T motors, I would recommend the Mamba Micro Pros....they are a safer choice as they handle a bit more amperage. Either way, make sure to install a Castle BEC as well.
