Default XR10 Tire and spring rub?

I just finished my build of my XR10 with the BJV4 chassis and titanium links and notice when on flat ground when turning the tires rub the shocks very bad. Any suggestions to eliminate this other than dialing out the steering with the transmitter?

Im running:

Stock shocks
HB Rover (white) Tires
Stock XR rims
Hitec 7955TG Servo

I think i would rather purchase a set of Vanquish wheels and hubs.

What size wheel and what size hub should i use?

Increase the caster. If you looking at the left side of the truck the the kunckle should be like this /. The lower pivot on the left side knuckle should be forward of the uppper pivot. I have mine maxed out in the last hole.

For $2.00 you can use the Traxxas hexes. They are 8mm and the stocks xr10s are 5.5mm - so you can pick up 2.5mmmm. P/N 3654 I think.

What do you guys think about running AX10 wheels on the XR? I just took my stock AX10 wheels and tires and mounted them on the XR and the steering works great at 100%. It did make the truck wider though.

I tried that, but it seemed too wide. I do comps though.

The AX10 wheels are fine if you don't mind the width of the wheel or the truck.

If you get Vanquish wheels, a pretty common setup for the XR is 1" wide SLW wheels on .475 hubs front and .600 rear.

If you use DH Vanquesh wheels in the front, .350 hubs work pretty well.

It is kinda wide but it seems like you need it to get full steer.

I thought about those but heard those things are rough on your axles and knuckles???? Thoughts? I'm currently running AX10 wheels on my XR. Not really wanting to shell out more cash right now for a set of vanquish wheels.

You can narrow your stock wheels-I did this first. Latter I got 1" wide Vanquish wheels.

Here is how to narrow your wheels.

Been running these on my MRC for a couple of years now without a problem, and i've had the XR10 just under a year, again no problems.

No harder than AX offset wheels. All are straining your bearings and killing steering power. You buy an axle designed to minimize scrub radius, then kill it with wide offset wheels. If you can't afford new wheels narrowing the stock ones is the best option.

I just narrowed the stock fronts and put them back together with JB Weld. They work great and i have no rubbing issues.
