| TedBull's Secret Agent 3.5
I was drawn to the look of this chassis the first time I saw it. Then I saw what it could do. I have been able to comp with a fellow club members secret agent XR and it did well for me. Mine will be very simaler to his and many other Agent builds that others have already built. I put the chassis together with all aluminum and titanium hardware. The skid will get flipped around and then cut, I have a rowdy motor mounted tray for the electronics. My buddy Marc (moes670) built up some titanium links for this build. We are trying out 1/8" for the tie rod, straight uppers, and bent front lowers. And 3/16 for the lower rear links. Marc also fabbed up some 1/8 link mount spacers for me. They turned out great. I bough some D-lux carbon "V" cut beadlock wheels from Erik. They look and function great. Shaved and trimmed boss claws with stock BS foams. Aluminum hardware with 850 SLW hub and 1/4 delrin spacer. Electronics: two Caslte micro sidewinders, Castle BEC (older version), Spectrum SR3500 receiver. They were sent to Chris @ CreationFab to be decased and shrunk down. I am happy with his work and the end result, although I should have asked for 18awg wire instead or 16awg. I asked for long lengths of wire and alot of what you see there will be cut off. I got the front axle back together with all aluminum hardware. I cut down the Rowdy battery mount and also lopped off the lower arms on the knuckles. It has RC4WD gears and the usual VP items as you can see. Last edited by TedBull; 05-30-2012 at 11:06 PM. |

They are lightweight, not water resistant so no washing. Guess I will have to live with the fact you dry humped my electronics. I will be looking to give you some competition this next season. Thanks, the rear is decked out simaler but with a stock axle top. I looked thru Jaksey's and Racer's threads quite a bit for tech info and insperation for this build. The rest of my build is as follows: * Scx10 aluminum shocks, silver mini t springs, silver mrc springs, 50/60 oil, jeepin doug mini t cups. (The damn shocks leak like crazy from the lower body on all 4, and I havent even run them yet ) * I will use the body panels that Jeremy supplied. Run clear lexan and the carbon sides. * Almost all the hardware will be aluminum or titanium except the 2.4mm hardware on the rear axle. EddieO is building me up a pair of his sick Brood Lightweight motors. 4 mag lathed can, HHK-S 40T arms. Ground, polished, dyed, Epoxy balanced. All the lightweight options, all the possible motor upgrades with team brushes/springs. I should see them in a day or two. I placed a order with Tomy for a pair of his sweet knuckle weights. I purchased 4oz of weight total. (although, the times I have driven a agent XR they were all without any knuckle weight and It did very well without). I think thats most of it. I will post more pics as it progresses. I am hoping the weight will be around 4 pounds without weights. Last edited by TedBull; 05-30-2012 at 11:34 PM.

Hmm that will be interesting to see how the 1/8 ti holds up.... The upper link mount spacers turned out great! I'll have to have him make me some when I get VP parts. But no point in getting VP parts when you haven't even really started building |

I dunno how lightweight the motors are gonna be at this point, he comes down into my shop every day and fondles them.....I've pretty much been wearing gloves when I work on them, as I dunno if I am gonna find gobs of man juice on them from all the fondling.....takes comm drops to a whole new level Later EddieO |

Thanks for the hand crafted works of art Eddie. Lots of good stuff in these motors. Eddie already started on another pair of lightweight 2 magnet motors with 45t GT arms, and a seperate pair of 45t HHK arms. The motors will have the same treatment as the pair above. They will go into my super. ... Last edited by TedBull; 05-31-2012 at 08:25 PM.
