well i got a little work done last night... im just using what i already have on hand for this build so i took the axles, links, and shocks from my BWD wedge and started mocking things up i was running ax10 bent links for uppers on the wedge not liking it for this chassis gonna try straight links have to see what ive got rattling around and the shocks (losi comp shocks) need internal limiting having a hard time deciding on link and shock placement i've always had some sort of reference from other builds in the past... i'll get some more wrench time in this evening |

| Yeah the center of the chassis can actually be raised or lowered or tilted which tilts the skid Last edited by EDGE; 06-26-2012 at 03:22 PM. |

The link geo does look a little funky... I'd just eye ball reference it to the link placement off something you aready have setup good and just try and getthem close for starters. |

got some more work done got some straight links on moved the front of the cab down one hole moved the center beam of the chassis up one hole front and back i was going to try to tilt the skid and just raise the back but i didn't like it limited the shocks front and back both have 30 wt and gold springs got the skid mounted got tired and sick of thinking about link geometry so here is how it sits as of last night |

Chassis seemed to work well with bully axles, interested to see how it does on an XR. Looks good so far |

Sinister looking indeed, defiantly out of the box thinking on the skid. Have you considered a thin sheet of Delrin? You could shape it a bit with a good hot heat gun. Good luck with it. I'd be interested in hearing your take on it's performance. |

but delrin would be cool How thin? 1/32"? 1/16"? It's not gonna be on the rocks for a bit ... I will most certainly report on its performance when it does make it out though Last edited by EDGE; 06-28-2012 at 07:29 AM. | |

It'll be interesting to see how this goes, inboarded lower links are few and far between these days with the odd exception like EGRESSors tuber and one or two clones. I think the suspension will cycle really easily like that - maybe too easily causing rollovers but we'll have to wait and see yes |
