How far are you from being able to run this rig? Sure looks close to completion

Cage should be here today or tomorrow, motor/esc is going to be about $265, tires and foam about $110. My disposable income starting next week is about $75-$100 a week. So it's gonna be about another 4-5 weeks. Trying to decide which comes first....tires or power :)

just saw your post now. a little trick mounting tires on beadlocks. after putting the ring in the tire/foam, let it rest in the fridge for 30min and then screw it together:mrgreen:

I'm returning the Ottsix Voodoos , as nice as they are they won't work.
If anyone has Vanquish Rockstars please let me know what tires you are using.

Looks Like the inner ring cut the tire. Worse. In the tire thread they have the opposite problem. Maybe another inner ring will help. As far as i know Voodoos are on the standard side with their bead, so diffrent tire maybe won't help. Hope some one has them and better info.

Emailed Vanquish and Ottsix....we'll see what happens

Re: From the "tub up"

Clamp rings are the wrong size , Vanquish is sending me new ones.
Voodoos are suspect, they are replacing one of the three that ripped. They want me to glue the other two back together.
I can see glue repair possibly working for one of the tires (small tear) but the other one will be iffy. Waiting on BSI insta-set before attempting repairs.

Only able to put one together for now. Happy with it so far:mrgreen:
Emailed Vanquish to say that I think they should replace Voodoos due to wrong clamp rings tearing up the tires.

Repaired one of the torn Voodoos (not happy with Vanquish giving me the wrong clamp rings, but they sent me the right ones) put it together and it seems okay.
I'll see what happens with the repaired tires when the rubber hits the ground.
One more repair to go and one replacement in the mail. This project is so deep into the wallet that I went ahead and ordered another set of Voodoos just in case the repaired tires fall.
Hoping to order power plant next week :ror:
Kudos and respect to all the crawlers and climbers out there, but mine is going to be a rat chaser.

I'm not really thrilled with the stickers  XXXmain sent the wrong ones anyway. I probably leave it black with a few sponsors. But what's hilarious is that they threw in an extra set of stickers that's not even available on their website. My wife is giving me the stink eye about them.:lmao:

Got my Voodoo replacements "thumbsup"
Guys, I need guidance, I'm a nimrod when it comes to shocks. In order to install the Pro-Line Ultra Reservoirs the shafts compress about 40-50%, is that acceptable? Also the only way I can get the cage on is by using the innermost top position.

Re: From the "tub up"

How long are those shocks? Seems like a waist. What is the cage contacting when you try to put it on? If it's the reservoirs, try flipping them 180 so the reservoirs are on the inside instead of the outside...

Shocks are 105mm, can't be turned 180
Longer body posts and innermost mount only way to put cage on.:x

Re: From the "tub up"

That's not much longer than the powerstrokes I run on mine. Are the reservoirs causing the clearance issue? I see how they can't be flipped because of the bumper springs. It doesn't look like it's dropping out much while on the stand.

As far as clearance goes I can live with the longer plastic body posts and mounting the shocks innermost.
I'm mostly concerned about how compressed the shafts are.
Is droop my problem? Do I adjust tie rods?
