Yep

I believe they are 6g each.

are the rings you sell what I would need to mount to the knuckle if I need additional weight?
Yep

Let me know if you have more questions.

Last questions, and I appreciate the quick response last time.

What is the per ring weight for your. 100 and .300 rings?
For the kingpin are the bearings you provide compatible with stock hardware?
On my xr10 the drag link is on arms behind the axle with the steering link on the f not of the knuckle. Does your setup support the same configuration?

These look pretty awesome and might be the ticket I was looking for. What is the outter diameter of the knuckle? I understand some people want these for 2.2s/bergs/ultras but I'm thinking maybe for my 1.9 applications and with that the wheel/rim is the limiting factor. =)

any pics of these mounted on an axle?

Right when you compliment me on a quick reply I get busy and cant reply so quickly... LOL

Each .100 ring weighs approx .4 oz.
Each .300 ring weighs approx 1.2oz.

I am not sure what size the stock hardware is. Either way, I provide all the hardware needed.

Check out Ittybitty's XR thread. He has some pictures in there. Youre probably going to want a double ended arm for steering on at least the one side. I just added it as an option when you buy the knuckles.

Outer diameter is 1.5" at the largest point.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, my 1.9 wheels were the only ones that could accept a 1.5" knuckle weight.

I am loving the custom idea though, I cant wait to see what else people come up with.

If you go into the XR section you can see Ittybittys thread. In the Berg section you can see AX10TN's thread and both have pictures of them mounted.

So could you sign and number my V1's to make them super valuable and collectable?

I dont think that would be too far off! Those knuckles you have may be the most ideal set ever made. That version is the only thing I miss about the V1.

OFNA universal's are the only way to go for a superior universal in my opinion. Only drawback is how long it takes to take a tire off but after one or two times you can get fairly quick at it.

No problem, I am just trying to understand what you want before I give a part number or advice. Some dont understand that the Berg ones I offer are not simply an OFNA part and that they are modified to work.

On the subject of stub shafts, you can run the inner shaft that is intended for an OFNA stub (obviously) but with a little work, you can also run an OFNA stub on an Axial inner. Ideally, if you can, you want to run an OFNA inner too. Once you have held both an Axial and OFNA shaft in your hands, there is no comparison to the difference in quality. Putting an Axial inner on the OFNA outer will obviously take away from that quality but, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

If you want an ONFA shaft, you can go to their website and search for "universal" and it will pull up about 15 or so shafts that they make. This could help find the cheapest option for you.

OFNA Racing

Oh, another thing to keep in mind is that the OFNA shafts are so well constructed that they are horrible to take apart at the joint but not impossible. Axials almost fall apart using a press or a punch.

For the cheaper guys there is a super cheap option that I have found.

Universal Dogbone 2P

$10.

I dont know of the quality or the fitment. Please keep in mind that I am building the knuckles around OFNA shafts and fitment with other brands may be different. I cant remember what Ittybitty used but his stubs turned out to have a different hex pin size and the offset is different so he ran into quite a bit of work going with a different brand. The same thing goes for the RC4wd Bully stubs. The pin hole is in a different spot so you would need to drill a new one if you had a Bully stub.

I think that answered your question but let me know if not.

Yep. Once you use them it would be hard to go back

After people were expressing concern of how long it takes to get a wheel off when you have to do 6 screws I went and timed myself. I am pretty sure it was 12 sec with my driver.

I updated one of the first posts to show weights of brass slugs, tungsten slugs and tungsten putty. These should be good tuning options for these knuckles.

More info on different weights to help you make up your mind.

I found out that the tungsten "slugs" can weigh over 1oz per side. Its pretty cool in the brass weights but in the Delrin or 7075 is even more significant since it can almost double the weight of your total knuckle.

Brass slugs 17g per 4

Tungsten carbide slugs 14g for 2, or 28g per 4. These are pretty expensive and hard to cut so I would not suggest them.

Tungsten putty looks to be a winner. 37g for 4 slugs worth.

Also, I have no idea how I could forget something so important but I just added the option for the AX10 stub shafts. This opens the doors to all the scaler guys and should give that many more options.

No, I got it here:

Amazon.com : Pinecar Tungsten Putty 1 Oz : Toy Putty : Toys & Games

Edit:

If you read one of my other posts stating that the putty is quite a bit heavier than brass, I was wrong. The putty is only slightly heavier.

These knuckles are great Erik and have opened the door for full width Ar60's in the 2.2s class! These knuckles are second to non IMO and offer a universal product that can carry over to any build for a budget minded person. In short I might sell the rest of my crawler but the knuckles won't go! They can literally be used for any build with a minor purchase of a shim!

Awesome Chris!

Youre right! It should be the last knuckle you buy! I am waiting for the scaler/Wraith type cars to figure this out too. I think they would really benefit.
