Looks like that has been rusted for a long time... Brazing would most likely get you through the weekend (or hopefully long enough to get a replacement). Wish I knew how to braze, would make my life a ton easier for more than just R/C. Are we looking at this Saturday? Seems some folks fell off the planet. |

yeah, it could have been rusty for a while. the rust on the broken faces is just surface rust from sitting overnight... kinda wet still. well hopefully brazing or welding will hold for at least the weekend. i'll have access to a welder tomorrow, so i might try that. if not, brazing might be the ticket. so where's everyone want to do this? folsom? try the new place? let me know. i'll do my best to meet you guys out there. |

I think there will be enough of us to put it together fast. Have everything taken apart before we get to McDonalds and we can slam it together quick. I hope to have my bearing and aluminum knuckles installed by Saturday as well. Going to be going all out.

I don't think its there... The McDonalds is on Folsom Auburn road... If you are coming down Folsom Auburn from Rocklin/Roseville, you will pass the turn for Beales Point. Go down less than a mile and its on the right side of the road. It is before the newish bridge in Folsom (next to the Rainbow bridge) and the Cliff House restaurant. Here is the address, pop it into Google Maps... 6612 FOLSOM/AUBURN RD, FOLSOM, CA 95630 |
